Had an alternator built for mine last year at Northstar. Charges at idle. We can run both our electrics at the same time and you cant even tell. Great thing to have when you have alot of equipment running all the time. Most alternators dont charge below 800 or 1000rpm.

Bought a couple of these this winter during my mid winter shoping spree. Haven't tried them yet, but I will next week. Ill let you know how they work. Like the fact that they can spin differently than anything else. Think I saw them at Gander. Jeff

Team Cold Water Affair in am, we'll be at all four.

Try reliable cleaner. Most camper places carry it. 20 a gallon, but it goes an extremely long way. Cleaned the whole boat last year with about a pint. Put it in a spray bottle and wipe with a rag. Never saw the boat so clean. It takes off everything. Jeff

Gonna have to say mono. The braided line might cause you to loose more fish because there is no stretch in the line. Like on wire, the fish can actually rip the lure out of its mouth because the line has no stretch. If you were loosing alot on the mono, you might not of had enough pressure on him and he just came off. Try tightening down your drags a little bit so there is a better hook set on the initial run before you get the rod. And remember, set the hook. Jeff

Someone needs to break one. $75. yankee, would look good on your boat.

They have allowed people under the age of 18 in the past, but im not sure if they have to be with a parent/legal gaurdian. Give Mike Waterhouse a call, he seems to be the easiest to get a hold of. Orleans co. 585-682-4925

Start the cable on the spool, then have someone hold on to a ball as you reel it in. If you have electrics just let the person know they will have to walk a little faster. Jeff

Started both days on the water at 5. Trolled both mornings in close 5-15 ft. Hooked up with multiple browns with the biggest at 7 lbs. Same lures that have been working all year. Action seemed to slow around 8 both days when we headed deep. Had some action on coho between 70 and 120. Went 1 for 5 on sat. and 5 for 5 on Sun. Saw a couple hooks between 40 and 60 down. Lost one Saturday off the rigger that was taking line heading to the bottom. King? we'll never know. Like Billy said, would head deep first thing and try for kings/steelhead. Good luck to anyone heading out. Jeff

Yankee, Did you find out if the 57's were big enough for the copper and the backing. Was thinking the same thing. would suck to buy them and only get 100 yds of backer on it. Tom, what reel do you run. Jeff

went out of bear creek tonight. Out at 530 and went 11 for 15 on browns and coho. Had a quad on the coho, lost one at the boat. Most coho caught at one time out of ontario. coho-3 browns-8, all clean. -
A few years back we were fishing off the salmon river on a buddys boat. One of the guys was complaining about how bad he had to take a dump. There was no head, bucket, or anything and we werent going in any time soon. So he dropped trow and went over the side. After cleaning up he threw the t.p. over the side. A couple hours later we were bringing everything in and the rod I was bringing in had his t.p. all over the spoon. Needless to say I handed it to him. Hard to believe we didnt catch anything after he went.

I won! The big boat wont go in for a couple more weeks. I wont be the first one out with a boat you can"t push on the snow.

Hit the lake yesterday afternoon out of Bear Creek around 6. The launch had quite a bit of snow on it so we slid the boat about 8' before reaching the water. Trolled in front a pass and nothing so we went down tword the nuke plant and managed a small 3lb brown. Had a couple short hits over 15'. The brown hit a yellow and silver honey bee over 13' swinging out for the buffer zone on GINA. Geat night , wish we had more than an hour to fish, but you can't complain when its March 13. Jeff

Irondeqouit is open to the lake, Bear creek has snow on the ramp but can get in if creative and the boat isnt to big, Id say under 16'. You may want to bring a shovel. Jeff
