Fished 125 FOW to 75 FOW. Lost a nice steelhead on a mupped mag Tranny spoon custom - painted by Jack Little up at the Oak. Brother in law got his first LO fish, a 19.7 King on a smaller version of that same spoon of the 43 rigger. Bummed out I lost that mag as it was the only one I had.... did you hear me Jack?
Actually 7-3
Fished 2 .5 hours mid morning from 15-100 fow. stated marking bait in 70 row and all the way out to 100. Tried for browns in close and switched to salmon steelhead program at 60FOW. Not even a tug but did get an alewife, so no skunk! Back out later today.

if you get a chance can you look to see what settings you are using as far as gain, auto troll, fishing and sensativity as a starting point?
odd they showup on the split screen 50hz but not the 50hz full screen???
thanks,
Bruce
Hi there,
Wondering if you guys using one of these have prefered settings when trolling in the lake.
Seem I only mark my riggers in split 50 and 200 screen but not in the 50 screen alone???
Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

Well finally getting some fish! Set up in 175 straight out. Fig has rolled in. Lt down 50 on a moonshine mag and two steelhead on free sliding get r done in first 49 minutes. It's a start!
Hey there...
What channel are you running out of Port Bay? And a boat name?
Fished browns this morning, marked a few and a bit of bait but could not get them to participate.

Fished 3 hours Sunday morning from 40 fow to 170 fow. Not one release. Fished a brown program inside and set up for salmon, LT and steelhead as we got past 70 fow. Marked no fish and only one small bait pod. I'm I missing the Oak too much?
Went for a early evening troll with my son, Stacey, tonight. Motored out to 350 and set up 2 riggers at 45 and 35 with free sliders, two wire dipsy one out 120 with spinnie and fly the other a short red dodger and carmel dolphin. Ran a 300 copper down the chute with green dot spine and fly. Trolled our way into 100fow. One lake trout on copper in 160 row. No other bites. Only marked a few fish and no bait but a nice night, first one on the Trophy this year.

Chris,
Still living same place on Main St in Pittsford and shop still going out in Mendon. Did not have the Trophy in the water the last couple years while doing the cancer thing.. used the little Smokercraft a lot. We bought a cottage up on Port Bay late last summer so have been learning that area. Had a problem with some work done on my Trophy prior to moving it there but Hank up at Port Bay (L&M) got me all squared away! Great guy!

Got out for a bit of a late start and left when the wind picked up. Took a friends son who had not fished the lake before. Fished sticks in the normal colors in 6-12 FOW and was not disappointed. Best fish of the day was a brown picked up on the west side of the pier. Did 5 browns,, 3 small coho, 1 small king and a nice steelhead All but the one were caught between the bay and Shipbuilders. Nice to get out!
