They may want to check again. It's getting worse every year. It is worse since those photos.

If you go over the pipe with a good fish finder, you can see the pipe clear as day.
-
It would cost millions of dollars to put a pipe out to 150'. Our intake is in 53' and its 1.5 miles out off Rochester. 150' of water would be double that distance easy.

50 years ago we didn't have zebra and quagga mussels that made the water super clear.........

Dropping an anchor will spook them way easier than spot lock. Now, if you spot lock right on top of them, you are shooting yourself in the foot. I'd be willing to bet they are doing something different like using lighter floro or a different bait. It can make all the difference in the world in the crystal clear lakes like Seneca.

Run off only affects us if we get the Genny plume or a South wind that blows dirty water off the shoreline out over our intake. Both our plants on Lake Ontario are very advanced and have zero issues treating what is thrown at us. Salmon Creek in Hilton was way over it's banks late last week! Bring on the water! I hope to see high (not flooding) for this season.

Yes. It is coming in between the point and the end of the wall. The point now extends way deeper into the bay than it did before the wall was constructed. It must be when the water is high and the winds crank out of the NE it pushes sand into the bay.
-
While fishing the bay this fall and on the ice the other day, I noticed the break wall set up they put in is actually causing issues with the bay. It looks like the sand is washing into the bay through the East end between the Point and the wall when the water is high. The sand at the end of the point now extends way into the bay. Spots I used to set tip ups is now dry land. I thought the point of the break wall was to keep the bay from filling in?

Jail time and a steep fine. The laughable game fines in New York are not a deterrence for people. The fines should be a hardship for EVERYONE. If you don't want to pay fines, don't break the law!
-
The worst part about that is the $1075 fine. What a joke. NY game law fines are way too low.
-
I have never seen them before. Interesting.

Carolina Classics had a water ingestion issue with some motors. Read up on it. I had this discussion with one of my customers. He lost lots of fishing time due to this issue. -

VHS disease took a huge toll. Tons of dead bass floating up the one year. I can't remember the year but my lab enjoyed rolling on the carcasses at Braddocks that summer. I believe 2004 or 2005 was when VHS disease reared it's ugly head. The spring run of smallmouth at Sandy has been slowly getting better the past five or so years. We are now seeing small fish instead of just big fish and more of them. -

You can buy the blanks on a website. I don't remember which site off hand but I will dig it up and post it.
