  1. I use the Uni to Uni.
  2. At least no one will back off the ramp!
  3. http://ijc.org/en_/islrbc/Lake_Ontario_Outflow_Changes I wonder why these idiots keep cutting back the outflow on the St. Lawrence River @ the dam. It was at 8000 the other day and they are back down near 7000. With the water level way above the High in the IJC 2014 plan, shouldn't they be dumping water to get it back on track?
  4. I change every year no matter how much use. It is a cheap insurance policy! If it's gonna fail, you know it will fail at the wrong time! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  5. The problem with the big ones out of Lake Ontario is they are spent. Most of the time they come up from 39-42 degree water into 70+ degree water. The 34.06 we boated in 2012 did not even flop once on the floor. If it wasn't a derby, the fish have never been revived. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  6. Older than me! Bucket list fish right there! My new goal is a 40+ out of Lake Ontario! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  7. He was just at Tommy's and he is full. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  8. The adult lake trout population is way too high IMO. With the two bad year classes from the hard winters, the adult numbers need to be knocked down or the alewives could be in trouble. The DEC knocked the king stocking back to help take the stress off the alewives. They did not up the creel limit on lakers to help take the stress off the population. If everyone sits back and throws all the lakers back, you may not have a king fishery in the future. If the alewive population drops more, you can bet the farm that the Kings will go away before a natural federally funded species. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  9. Better fight but most of the time they come up too fast without the drag of cowbells. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  10. The cowbells must be run within 5' of the bottom AND below 1.8 mph ball speed to be effective. Scan for marks laying on the bottom. Those are the ones that you want to target. The suspended ones will come down and hit. I have had a couple customers send me videos showing them come down and hit. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  11. That muddy water goes all the way past our Webster treatment plant intake on Basket Rd in Webster. I wouldn't be surprised if it did not go to Ginna.
  12. As for depths they find them at in Mexico Bay, I'm not the guy to ask. I have never fished Mexico Bay. If the follow the pattern of the Rochester basin fish, most will stay deep and some will move shallow.
  13. Ibay the lakers are usually east of Shipbuilders on the flats out in deeper water. When I had my boat on Ibay, I fished them 135' or deeper all season. This time of the year, I would find them all the way out to 220' on the bottom. Out of the Oak, I have heard reports of guys getting them good once they hit 70'.
  14. What port?
  15. I don't know if they would do well in the swamp. Don't they spawn on gravel?
  16. I think it is great what they are doing to for the wildlife and the marsh. My gripe it is only for the marsh. Make braddocks great again! Finish the wall with jetties and dredge the bay back to what it once was. Man screwed up the bay by regulating the lake levels. It should be fixed and made usable so the town / state can make revenue off of it. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  17. Actually this one I have to disagree with you on Billy. Braddocks is nothing like it was twenty years ago for pike. There are decent numbers but not as good as the good old days. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  18. Yup and they built jetties on both sides of the one channel.
  19. Have a heart trap and a garbage can full of water. Let them play sink or swim.
  20. Glad the rigs worked for you guys.
  21. I have been running the fishhawk X4 since the first year it came out. Zero issues and you do not have to deal with coated cable or wet rags to make it work better.
  22. Here is a photo I got last night from a friend of a friend. There is already a lot of sand pushed up onto the rocks. Where do they think this sand will end up on a Northeast blow? My guess would be right in the channel. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  23. Where do you live? If you live in the Hilton area, I can show you. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  24. Hopefully someone buys the marina and puts some money into it. It has tons of potential like Bald Eagle.
