  1. I really do not think perch have strong enough jaw muscles to break up a muscles shell. I have found full zebra and quagga muscles in lakers and some perch had small muscles in them but they were whole.
  2. You are full of Sh*t mister. We all know you better than that! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  3. Where are you hunting Matt? Sounds like white trash alley! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  4. The shells are broken up by getting washed up in the beach. They are rolled around in the rocks along the beach and lake bottom. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  5. Stud buck! Where did he shoot that buck? Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  7. Exactly. More people should look at it this way instead of the someone is going to shoot my deer attitude. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  8. Yup. Still kicking myself! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  9. You never know Billy. I had a beauty buck walk up behind me from down wind this morning. I was on the ground. Better morning for him than me...... Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  11. They are not the same but should be treated the same as far as distances you shoot a deer with. I don't like anything over 40 yds with mine. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  12. Squirells are the lake trout of the woods! Shoot em up Matt! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  13. Dead quiet for me here in 8m also. Four shots so far. Nothing close. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  14. I have no idea why guys think they can be used for long shots. Is it because they are classified as a muzzleloader? I'm not sure. After buying one and shooting it before hunting with it, i figured out really quick that you need to treat it as a bow. Unfortunately, there are people that will go buy one and not be responsible. 15. Let me start by saying I use a crossbow in the woods. Crossbows need to be treated the same as a bow when shooting a deer. Guys that think long shots are ok to take are irresponsible! You can hit a bullseye at 75 yards no problem with them but there are too many variables in the woods. You should not be taking shots any further with a crossbow than you do with a compound. Deer still jump the string due to the fact they are loud when they go off. Don't punish the crossbow hunters that are responsible and only take responsible shots. 19. Not me either. I'm at work. I'm interested to hear who the culprit is.
  20. The working part sucks but the holiday pay and 5 days off after that make up for it.
  21. I feel your pain Dave. I'm here the next three days...........
  22. Most of the deer I shot with them dropped but the two that I shot with them that ran, I was lucky they dropped in eye sight. Tracking would have been difficult!
  23. I used to use powerbelts. They flew fine for me but they fragmented and did not mushroom out at all. I also found very little blood if the deer took another step. With my new Muzzleloader, I use Blackhorn 209 powder with Hornaday STX 45 caliber 250 grain bullets with MMP sabots. Amazing grouping at 100 yds with that combo. Make sure you can shoot Blackhorn out of your muzzleloader before buying it. I had to buy a modified breech plug to shoot it out of my CVA Accura V2. If you do not have a modified breech plug, you may get hang fires.
  24. Congrats Andy and Drew!
