  1. The reduction in lake trout is a good move in the DEC's part IMO. The kings are not the only major threat to the alewive population. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  2. I got 300yds 50lb power pro on both my 350 and 400. It was tight but it fit.
  3. Unfortunately his lab coat is all he wears! Why do you think he does so many solo trips! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  4. The oak above my boat has a ton. They are all over my boat!
  5. Temp is going to be way down, currents are going to be ripping and I would think the lake will still be rough. It looks like the winds are going to die Sunday night. I would not make the drive unless the forecast was going to be perfect.
  6. Looks like the lower end East side of Seth Green Island on the Genesee River to me. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  7. You are correct. The meat rake had braces.
  8. You forgot #6. Attention to detail A lot of days, there are little details that guys miss that make a world of difference.
  9. I have seen reports with spring lakers from Niagara county with your name on them! I believe there were photos of dodgers and peanuts or spin n glows in them! Don't make me do some digging!
  10. I will sell you lake trout rigs and tell you how to use them but I will never give up two of my many weigh points!
  11. The currents are worse down Wautoma to Braddocks Point. This is the reason why the lakers sit on my one weigh point that is responsible for most of the slob lakers I have caught over the years.
  12. And I thought bows were smarter than Lake Trout....
  13. I think it pulls the lure closer to the ball then lets it flutter back. I saw it on a West coast inland Salmon fishing show years ago.
  14. How far west did you look? Sandy Creek in Hamlin is cheap compared to the Oak and The Genesee River.
  15. I purchased a Wicked Ridge Invader G3 last season and love it.
  16. More bigger fish come out of the East end because there are way more salmon at that end of the lake during the fall derby. The Salmon river gets a good stocking and tons of natural reproduction. Just like the Niagara in the spring, there is a larger concentration of salmon.
  17. It is a gimmick!
  18. Browns are there. Steelhead, who knows. It would be nice to have the laker division back so we have something to place with in the Fall derby.....
  19. In June and July, I found days that the kings would not hit a flasher fly combo or hit anything if one was in the riggers. This was not every trip but a good number of them. I also took more fish deep in cold water or high in warm water than I did in temp. I saw a LOT of guys out of Sandy that would run to the same spots over and over again and complain about the fishing being slow. Some days you have to burn gas to find fish.
  20. I find it works great all the time. It is easier than meat and produces about the same.
  21. I was out Sunday and did well on matures a coho and an atlantic. We were inside of 85' East of port. 55' - 85' scraping bottom with flashers and flies.
  22. Fishing from May to the first week of August was way better than the past two season for me. I fished way less lake trout than normal. With the kings around all summer, we left them alone for the most part. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  23. My customers have been catching kings on Gambler Rigs in Lake Michigan. We took a couple this year on them too. I run them behind a trash can dodger, spin doctors or plain. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  24. Ranger Nets are good and not too pricey. They run from 60 -80 bucks.
