  2. I have heard of guys losing rods in plastic Scotty Rod holders. Plastic over time gets weak in the elements. Pay me now or pay me later. You can buy cheap rod holders and save a buck up front but you may have to buy new diver set ups when a king rips them off the boat.
  3. I have the Big Jon Multi set rod holders in tracks on my boat. Rock solid holders.
  4. Call some taxidermists. A lot of times guys don't pick up there mounts and they are looking to off load them.
  5. My vote is for the interstates. My last interstates lasted 9 years.
  6. Too bad the new break wall design is not going to keep the channel open. The design is clearly not for boating purposes.
  7. The "professionals" you mentioned need to do a little better job. Here is a perfect example. Lake Ontario smallmouth used to be around in HUGE numbers on the South shore. VHS disease wipes them out to horrible numbers and you can still keep 5 per day. With the population low, this should be dropped to let them try to recover.

  9. A lot of time, there is no rhyme or reason. I usually start the trip off with two different colors and let them show me which color they prefer. I did field test some uv Hammerheads last year and found they excelled in bright sunny days.
  10. This all depends on what you are running the lure behind. 5/0 hammerheads, 24-28" lead, size 4/0 18-24" leads. Dodgers I have run them from 18- 30"
  11. Thanks Pap! Glad you like them! Good luck with them. Feel free to ask questions on technique. I will have an instructional video on my website when it is done.
  12. I do. What are you interested in? Send me what you want in a pm

  15. I had a box of boat flares from 1984 in my garage. I used them to start camp fires last summer and they worked flawlessly. The expiration dates are BS.
