I have the Jiffy Pro 4 propane auger and it is awesome. I did have it freeze up last winter but it was below zero that day. I used one can of propane all season. No gas to get all over your hands or gear, quiet and the exhaust is not going to make you choke after one hole.
It shows arches if you use the features correctly. I have an LCX38chd on my boat now, had an X-15 and a X-112 in the past and they all show arches when the settings were used correctly.
Check the wire that connects the battery holder to the probe. Mine came loose. Plug it back in and it will work. The wires can also get broken off at the battery holder if you are not careful putting the pack into the probe.
I'm not to sure C&R is a thing that should be done ALL of the the time either. Too many fish = less bait. Right now that is not the problem but could be down the road. Fish DO need to be kept no matter what the size (it is a put and take fishery).
The West end was light in the number of kings in the spring so they might have been offshore in the central to East end of the lake. The rochester area had more kings around than normal in May. Who knows.
If you have no partial ownership in the boat and were not there, no $ IMO. If you were not there to set rods, clear rods, steer the boat and put gas in the boat, no money should be split.
The switch might be going bad. They are really easy to replace. If they are 4 pronged switches, let me know. I ordered 2 of the wrong switch and will give them to you for free. They will not let me return them.
It is all about being able to take pictures of the winning fish to promote the derby. The attendance at the awards ceremonies are dismal. If it was not mandatory, no one would go at all.
