  1. First, you will need a vapor barrier paint. I used an Interlux product (cant remember which one). After that, VC-17 or Pettit are two great choices.
  2. I have a large rubber Ranger net that is awesome for sticks.
  3. So sorry for your loss Nick. If you need anything, give me a call.
  4. I have a troll smarter unit. $350.00 and it comes with everything! The wireless remote control is awesome from the back of the boat.
  5. Dave, I totally agree on the lake vs trib battle needing to end. Working together towards the common goal is what we should ALL be focused on (like the new Sandy own project). To sit here and say the DEC came up with these regs on their own is complete BS. We all know that is a huge stretch of the truth. When you have an organization like TU commenting on the proposal (even though some of them will never fish Lake O steelhead just inland trout) it floods the comments and the DEC is going to take that into consideration big time. The regs have done nothing positive to change the steelhead fishery since they were out into place. The steelhead numbers don’t seem any higher and size hasn’t seemed to improved. P.S. when Jessie contacted Rob about using the pens and restarting the Sandy pen project, I was 100% on board and even offered helping Jessie with anything he needed.
  6. Yup, the DEC came up with it all on their own…….
  7. Rochester Reel Repair.
  8. 2.3 - 2.8 is the best range I have found for Dream Weavers.
  9. Tom Barbera is the guy you are looking for! East Fork Pro Marine 236 Lake Rd East Fork Hamlin.
  10. No. K15 need really slow speeds (less than 1.8 or they spin out). Dreamweavers are a heavier blank spoon and need more speed.
  11. They are good from what I hear but they can't be used with wire.
  12. I use parachute cord.
  13. Unfortunately, I will not be at this show with my rigs. I will be there walking around to see the Rochester guys! I will be at the Finger Lakes Trollers Association flea market on Sunday!
  14. There was a raft of them off Wautoma last weekend of approx 4000 birds. Cool to see!
  15. Big group of snows in Hamlin by the lake. They have been around for a couple of weeks.
  16. I run my coppers with double keels. 300 and 400 still put a lot of drag on the Otter Boats and decreased their performance without the dual keels. Yankee Troller is the man to ask about the keel measurements.
  17. In my picture? If so, it’s salt and pepper grinders. 🤣
  18. What does everyone use to store pre tied diver/ cheater leaders? Here is what I use. They are tackle buddy leader holders customized with Velcro. I cut them down some, screw the caps on and add a piece of rope to hang them in the cuddy.
  19. I’m pretty sure he is coming to the Watkins show next weekend.
  20. I will be there!
  21. Quality leader = Seaguar Blue label. Expensive but strong and very abrasion resistant. How are you storing your flies when not in use?
  22. Warm winters (2012 & 2018) are usually phenomenal fishing. Lack of Erie ice will get things started early and hopefully the weather will cooperate this season and allow the lake to be more stable.
  23. The blue glow peanuts were the bomb..... Yakima discontinued the best one the had!
  24. Black or clear and no snubbers are needed as long as you use QUALITY leader material and swivels.
  25. Stop down and check out the Fingerlakes Trollers association trollers flea market on March 26th! I will be there with Gambler Rigs and my new for 2023 line up!
