  1. I ordered some rods from them this spring and had a very good expierence. Price was right, great customer service and I got them the next day.
  2. The numbers of matures were noticably lower. If you fish the East end of the lake, you may not notice a difference once they start staging but the smaller ports to the West it was more noticable. There were matures around but not nearly the numbers we were used to seeing.
  3. Good thinking Rick. After the amazing season we had this year, I would hate to see all these genetics of big kings go to waste. I did notice a lot less skippers this year. 2 years in a row of bad stocking would make for some long seasons and stress on the other year classes of salmon.
  4. That is the plan for Sunday! Steve, It is not easy being a farmer now a days!
  5. Jeremy, I have one good one of it on the scales I will put up when I get a chance. Jerry, we went by in stealth mode this morning. It was still dark and the rods were down.
  6. Fishing Report Your Name / Boat Name: ============== TRIP OVERVIEW ============== Date(s):8/16 Time on Water:530 Weather/Temp: Wind Speed/Direction: Waves: 1 foot Surface Temp: Location: LAT/LONG (GPS Cords): =============== FISHING RESULTS =============== Total Hits: A ton Total Boated: A lot Species Breakdown:Lakers Hot Lure: Hammerhead cowbells and spin n glows Trolling Speed: 1.1 - 1.4 Down Speed: Boat Depth: 90 - 120 Depth:Bottom ==================== SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS ==================== Did a laker run for the Orleans derby and had a blast with the lakers. Could not find many fish over 10lbs but we found 2 slobs. The first one came around 830 am and weighed 23lbs 8oz. on the derby scales. The second one came around 10am and weighed in at 19lbs 3 oz. We dumped 2 other hogs. Direction of troll did not matter but speed was crutial. Anyone looking for kings, there was a nice picture in 110 - 130 60 to 80 down. I was going to run some high rods but we were too busy. Here are the pics of the slob!
  7. I found you will not tangle coppers with your divers if you let them out and then let them settle before sending them out to the board. I have been running copper for years and have had 2 tangles with divers and it was when I first started running it. NO problems running divers on a 3 or 3.5 if you let the copper settle before running it over top of the wires.
  8. Welcome!
  9. Happy Birthday!
  10. Nice report John. Congrats on the good day!
  11. Buy the X4 probe and use it with the old head unit. That is the way the old unit worked. The X4 does not skip a beat.
  12. Seagar. You pay for what you get. You need to spend $ to get quality floro.
  13. Happy Belated B-day Carl.
  14. We have been getting them on occasion in the intake at work. They do not show up until the water gets below 60 degrees in at the intake. They must be deep in the cooler water.
  15. I'm on to him Ray. I watched him feeding those big fish from his back patio!
  16. Saltist reels are the best option for wires. Tekotas are nice but who wants a reel you pay $200 for and have to upgrade the drag.
  17. You can have him back after September 5th
  18. You can thank good old Monroe County for that one Bruce. It is the only County along the lakeshore that does not promote the fishery or the water front!
  19. Fishing Report Your Name / Boat Name: ============== TRIP OVERVIEW ============== Date(s):8/11/ Time on Water:530 am Weather/Temp: Wind Speed/Direction: Waves: 1' Surface Temp: Location: LAT/LONG (GPS Cords): =============== FISHING RESULTS =============== Total Hits:29 Total Boated:26 Species Breakdown:Steelhead and lakers Hot Lure: NBK MAg Trolling Speed: Down Speed: Boat Depth: 50 - 120 Lure Depth: ==================== SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS ==================== Started the morning in tight looking for browns. Nice picture but it was a slow start. Got down East past the Felluca residence and the 95 wire starts screaming with a nice steelhead. After many many jumps, we netted a 12lb 13oz steelhead. Continued East and did another steelhead. Slid out deeper and tried to get a laker for the Orleans Derby. We did 24 lakers but 23 were under 10lbs and one was 12. The 12 was shorter than the 30" minimum. The steelhead lands us in 2nd place in the steelhead division. Temps were really high but getting better as the day progressed. Good luck out there guys!
  20. Coppers, leadcore, wire divers, and thumper rods.
  21. +1. I have a bunch of Heartlands and 4 Okuma Roller rods. I have been running the Heartlands for 8 years with no issues. So far no issues with the reel seats on the Okuma roller rods but I have heard of people having issues.
  22. I run my probe on my high rigger. The middle rigger is always my deepest rigger in ice cold water.
  23. I too went to 3 riggers this season. My 4th rigger always sat and did not get used. My boat does not have a large beam and 4 riggers was ok but with slip in the wind and rough seas, it was more of a hassle. I run a 3 rigger rod, 4 wire diver and 2 copper set with 3 or 4 guys. If it is 2, I run 3 riggers, 2 wires and 1 copper to start and let the fish tell me what rods are the active ones for the day.
