  1. Here you go Mark. It looks like a 28.14 took it. viewtopic.php?f=52&t=34201
  2. Find where thermalcline intersects the bottom near structure and fish smaller spoons along the bottom. If you see marks up off the bottom in that zone, a lot of times they are browns also. A lot of the time, the low 60's is the perfered temp. Good luck!
  3. Around 42 degrees is the water temp you want for ice water. Some days they are sitting in colder to get away from the sun.
  4. I think you have had too many days on the water! Something that ugly can not taste good.
  5. Nice to meet you Tom and Great job with the boys! Glad to see some youth of today with an interest in fishing!
  6. Congrats on the 2nd place finish Rick. Have patients. He can't keep this roll up for ever!
  7. Congrats on the big Derby / Shootout Steelhead Shawn. P.S. You made FISHINMAN happy by catching a laker in his honor!
  8. NIce job Jon. Glad to see you got Tom back into it. I saw new riggers in his shop. Look what you started!

  11. Fishing Report Your Name / Boat Name:Escape ============== TRIP OVERVIEW ============== Date(s):7/28/12 Time on Water:5am Weather/Temp: Wind Speed/Direction: Waves: 3-5 with the occasional 8 foot roller! Surface Temp: Location: LAT/LONG (GPS Cords): =============== FISHING RESULTS =============== Total Hits: ? Total Boated:20+ Species Breakdown:Kings and steelhead Hot Lure: Hammer Time Spin Doctor and Green Hammer Fly and the Live Wire Spin Doctor with the green crinkle Trolling Speed: Down Speed: Boat Depth: 130 - 400 Lure Depth: 70 - 85 ==================== SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS ==================== Started the morning motoring out to 130 in 2 - 3 foot waves. Worked the inside waters and had one upper teens king, one GIANT lamprey on cutbait (yes the lamprey took the cutbait!) and a TON of skippers to show for it. Worked our way out to the 330 - 375 are and started to get into some nice kings and steelhead. Put together a nice box consisting of a 19,20,23 and a 23lb king. 90% of our hits today came on flashers and flies on the wires, copper and riggers. I was running 6 flashers and flies on 4 wires, 1 copper and 1 rigger with 2 riggers cheated with spoons. The only fish we took on spoons were skippers, small bows and smaller kings. At the weigh in, our box was good enough for 4th place. Congrats to all the winners and I tip my hat to the guys that worked HARD to make this event another success.
  12. Another well run tourney! Well done guys. Congrats AGAIN to Jay, Trish and Andy! Next year it will be called the Trout N About Shootout.
  13. ONe heck of a Coho Carl. Nice job and thanks for the report.
  14. Oh no. Not this battle again. Salmon season is half over and we are going to start the Giants stink thread!
  15. I would give the Coast Guard a call.
  16. Who knows if we will even get those East winds. Noaa says East, every other weather website shows SW, SE, SSW, NW and West. Only time will tell.
  17. I have run the 30lb for a couple season now and have the line twist figured out. My spoon rods, I run a spro swivel (same ones guys are using for coppers) in between the FF and the Floro leader and a Spro swivel between the Floro and the lure. My flasher rods, I run a bigger Spro swivel and make sure the swivel on the Spin Doctor or other brand of flasher is in good working order. Very little twisting if any.
  18. You got it all wrong Motoman. The season is going by so fast it still feels like spring. Nice report and good fishing Rick.
  19. Slow down and fish deeper. Kings will drop down in ice water to get out of the high sun. Full moon periods, 11 - 2pm is the hot bite most days.
  20. These spoons are awesome. I purchased some and ran them over the weekend. Nice action in the water and super tough paint jobs!
  21. Happy B-day Todd. I hope it is a good one.
