  1. Or someone could book a charter that day and insist they did not fish the shootout!
  2. If you are in less than 180 fow with a 500, let it out VERY SLOW or you will hit bottom with it.
  3. Nice report Tom. All this pink is really making me wonder about you!
  4. Happy Birthday!
  5. Make sure you call ahead. I read on GLangler that he is swamped right now. As for the price, I'm not sure. I just got the parts and did it my self. All the diagrams are right on his site.
  6. I think it's call upchucking not upwelling!
  7. I always get them too. The problem is finding something in these stores worth buying for trout and salmon fishing!
  8. Happy Birthday Tim.
  9. Happy Birthday Shawn! I hope it was a good one.
  10. The wire goes to the diver with a QUALITY SWIVEL. Run a 25 to 30lb leader from your diver to the lure. Snubbers are not neccessary unless you are fishing lighter leaders. You do not need backing but a full spool will make for a more accurate counter on the reel.
  11. I just emailed Big Weenie Brand to see if they still carry them.
  12. I would look into the copper set ups on the Atommik site. My recommendation is to buy a 500 or 600 copper rig that is marked every 50' so you could run it down the chute and put it out the length needed to get to the fish.
  13. 1000' of stainless steel wire will fit on them but no way will more than 100' of copper + enough backing will fit. Copper 30lb or 45lb is thick.
  14. What length copper are you trying to fit on it? You will not get more than a 50' or 100' with minimal backing.
  15. Gotta move West Adam.
  16. I got mine from Big Weenie Brands website.
  17. If you are not fishing the 42 degree layer, you are missing out on big kings NO MATTER HOW EARLY IT IS! Last year offshore in May, June and July, we took a lot of kings down DEEP in 40 - 42 degree water. We did not get a ton down there every trip but when we got one it was a mature king for sure. I always spread my rigs out below, in and abov ethe thermalcline. There are always kings feeding out of temp or sitting down in ice water to get away from the sun light.
  18. I use the bigger Scotty power grips for the long coppers and coppers with flashers and the mini power grips for short coppers with spoons.
  19. I use diver docks. The work great. You put the diver in the dock and wrap your leader around the dock. It does not get all kinked.
  20. You must be better at talking on the radio!
  21. I can't wait to see the size of these kings in the Fall LOC!
  22. Look at the graph I posted above. It was right from the IJC website. It shows the plan compared to last seasons levels. It shows a .72 foot or .22 meter PEAK DIFFERENCE (approx 9" above average).
  23. Here is a chart from my wifes boss on the BV7 plan. It shows the comparison to last season and the high is Approx. 9" over last years high. look at the peak difference. It is .72' which is approx 9". Remember how high the water was last season? The water was over the breakwalls in spots in the marina I slip my boat in. The water was also touching the bottom of the docks. http://www.ijc.org/loslr/en/library/wat ... o_2011.pdf
  24. Can someone put this guy on the tweets page? This is the best reporting of anyone on this site. The tweets page gets less tweets on a Saturday from the entire gang that Bobsboy posts in one trip. Nice job!
