SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS
====================
Started the morning off in 160 off the pumphouse. At 5:15 in the dark, a rigger fires and we dump the first fish. After reseting the rigger, the same rod fires again. We boated the first kings of our 4 fish box. After a steady pick of smaller sized fish (skippers, small lakers and steelehead) we another teen king. Things started to slow so we snuck in to 95 fow with the group of boats working the inside water. We pulled a couple more smaller fish and decided to troll East out of the pack. At 11:30 East of the creek in 110, the wire fires out 180 on a 3 towing a Live Wire Spin Doctor w/ a Green Crinkle Atommik sushi fly. After a nice battle, we boated a 25lb. king. Now our box consisted of a 16lb. king, 11lb king, 8lb coho and a 25lb king. We stk it out another hour trying to upgrade our 8lb coho. Unfortuantely we were unable to upgrade. When we got to the weigh in, there were a lot of nice boxes of fish. We ended up taking 7th place and missing big fish with our 25lber. It was a great time and Team Escape is looking forward to next years event. Congrats to all the winners and thanks again Rob, Mike, Keith, Scott and the rest of the guys behind the scenes. We had a great turnout and it was very well run.
As a side note, the US fish and wildlife guys found a king with an Adipose fin and a wire tag in it's nose . He told us that some fish can regenerate an adipose fin.
