  1. Nice job Scott. Congrats on your 6th place finish.
  2. Depends on the depth of the fish. 450' copper will get you down 90ish feet. If the fish are higher, do not put as much copper out. When I want the full 450' out, I put the knot at the water (knot that joins copper and backing)
  3. No Twilly tip is needed. That rod would work. If you run it down the chute, no release is needed. Just let it out the back like a flat line.
  4. A meat rig is a cut bait rig. If you have questions, feel free to ask or read back on the topics and you will learn a lot.
  5. Nice Job Rob. Congrats on the big king and your 3rd place finish.
  6. Blame it on your brother. I see how you are. Nice job Rick.
  7. Nice meeting you at 430 am Ray. Glad you came and joined the gang for a fun day of fishing.
  8. Steve, I am slowly upgrading my Sealines to Saltist reels. I only have the SG47LC left. The SG47LCA is sold pending payment.
  9. This reel is in good shape. $55.00 local pick up or I will ship for $60.00 to the lower 48.
  10. Fishing Report Your Name / Boat Name:Escape ============== TRIP OVERVIEW ============== Date(s):7/23/11 Time on Water:5am Weather/Temp:77 Wind Speed/Direction: West 10 - 15 Waves: 2 - 3 Surface Temp: Location: East ans West of the creek LAT/LONG (GPS Cords): =============== FISHING RESULTS =============== Total Hits: 20+ Total Boated:20+ Species Breakdown: Kings, coho, steelhead, browns and lakers Hot Lure: Green Hammer Atommik sushi fly behind the livewire spin doctor Trolling Speed: 2.5 Down Speed: Boat Depth: 90 - 160 Lure Depth: 40 - 70 down ==================== SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS ==================== Started the morning off in 160 off the pumphouse. At 5:15 in the dark, a rigger fires and we dump the first fish. After reseting the rigger, the same rod fires again. We boated the first kings of our 4 fish box. After a steady pick of smaller sized fish (skippers, small lakers and steelehead) we another teen king. Things started to slow so we snuck in to 95 fow with the group of boats working the inside water. We pulled a couple more smaller fish and decided to troll East out of the pack. At 11:30 East of the creek in 110, the wire fires out 180 on a 3 towing a Live Wire Spin Doctor w/ a Green Crinkle Atommik sushi fly. After a nice battle, we boated a 25lb. king. Now our box consisted of a 16lb. king, 11lb king, 8lb coho and a 25lb king. We stk it out another hour trying to upgrade our 8lb coho. Unfortuantely we were unable to upgrade. When we got to the weigh in, there were a lot of nice boxes of fish. We ended up taking 7th place and missing big fish with our 25lber. It was a great time and Team Escape is looking forward to next years event. Congrats to all the winners and thanks again Rob, Mike, Keith, Scott and the rest of the guys behind the scenes. We had a great turnout and it was very well run. As a side note, the US fish and wildlife guys found a king with an Adipose fin and a wire tag in it's nose . He told us that some fish can regenerate an adipose fin.
  11. Congrats to Team Trout and about and all the other teams that placed. It was a great tourney. The fishing was good but we had to work for that bigger fish bite. I also would like to thank the derby organizers for their hard work. Everyone went home with a nice bag of lures and other goodies. Another job well done. Can't wait for next year!
  12. Are you talking about a Baha from the Gennesewer River?
  13. I tried running copper off of inlines and it was horrible. Big boards are the way to go IMO.
  14. I run mine way off the side of the boat off of an Otter board. It is out of the way and you cover more water that way. It is like having another downrigger off of your plainerboard.
  15. I'm looking for Glow and green or green crushed ladderback tapes. Looked in online, Oak Orchard and Rochester and can not find them. Anyone know where I can find some?
  16. Congrats Chad. hear ya about having the wife on the boat. Mine was never cleaner.
  17. Waht about Sandy? Sandy has been on fire the past 3 weeks. 20+ fish days have been VERY common.
  18. Thanks guys. Steve, Let me know. If you are around Sandy some night this week, let me know and you can check them out.
  19. This reel is in good shape. $65.00. Local pick up prefered.
