  1. I would say Iaconelli also. No one in the industry is as passionate about fishing as he is. My least favorite is Bill Dance. Anyone can catch big bass on PRIVATE lakes or ponds. Anyone ever see a boat in the back ground of one of his bass fishing shows?
  2. Jerry has a show? Oh wait, I remember the commercial with the car through the garage door.
  3. Not sure. I know bait shops can only keep there bait so long also. Call the DEC. They are always willing to answer questions.
  4. Ronix, The new bait laws only allow us to keep our bait 10 days. Not enough time to get them that big.
  5. I think everyone here collects fishing equipment. One of our members has the largest collection of Needlefish spoons in the world .
  6. why would you plan a trip on april 1st bonehead I would rather be chasing 100lb. tarpon on April 1st over spending April 1st chasing trout on amateur day.
  7. I would make the musky limit on Ontario / St. Lawrence 1 per season. Kind of like a deer tag system. Once your tag is full, your done for the season. If you revive fish and don't keep them, you can keep fishing. This would keep guys from keeping multiple musky in one season. The St Lawrence muskies are caught accidentally by pike and walleye fishermen. Most guys keep them for a wall hanger. A lot of fishermen do not have the respect for the fish/fishery that you guys have.
  8. I have run my probe on all 4 riggers to see. It reads great on all riggers.
  9. Being a married man, you should know the answer to that question Ray!
  10. Prayers sent.
  11. Steve, What size? The guy that did the fberglass work had some teak doors. Let me know.
  12. Glen, I know this has nothing to do with Lake O kings. But, I would not put it past the state to cut salmon stocking to save $$$$ when they find out more info on Lake Ontario natural reproduction kings.
  13. Thanks guys. FISHINMAN, Just remember, I'm still a COUPLE decades younger than you!
  14. I see the DEC wants to cut laker stocking in Seneca because of natural reproduction. Are Lake O Kings next? viewtopic.php?f=6&t=22782
  15. Slang dictionary? I thought that was in the regular Italian dictionary?
  16. I would vote for Sandy Creek (Hamlin) but it's not there. The same (if not better fishing than the Oak) and 100 less boats to troll around on a Saturday. Sandy has it all for fish species. Look at the structure with in a couple miles of Port. You have Devils Nose, Wautoma Shoal, Light House point and Braddocks point. If the Oak was so good, why did a bunch of Pro Am boats drive from the Oak to Sandy 2 years ago on Big fish Friday? I recall seeing a bunch of big names around that morning.
  17. And it is a blast to reel in 2 fish on one rod.
  18. Interesting.... It was 34 degrees at the intake from Jan 3rd until March 14th. Since then it has not gotten below 38 degrees. Anyways, Erie has some ice left but too much left for us trollers.
  19. Are there any dinks on Seneca?
  20. Why is Rochester on there? The City or County does nothing for us fishermen.
  21. For drop weights, I use a rubberband. Half hitch it on the weight and the mainline. When the weight gets to the boat, break the rubberband off the main line. I have the snap weights but found the rubberband method was quicker to get off and did not fall off.
  22. Where can you get these and what does the haywire twist look like? Go to the Atommik site. He has them there.
  23. I would recommend Luhr Jenson OO dodger in all orange with a peanut fly behind it for coho. Run it off a board. Until late June, steelies and coho can be found in the top of the water column. Boards with 1, 2, or 3oz of weight work good. If you run the core with the Spin Doctor, you may pick up a stray king.
  24. Swivel / Haywire twist connections last a lot longer. Not really that hard to tie. My vote is for the haywire and swivel connection. Make sure you go with the Spro heavy duty swivels.
