  1. I run the deep (inside) dipsy on a 1 setting and the shallow (outside) on a 3. Let the outside diver out first then the inside. Keep the outside diver at the same amount of line out or less to avoid tangles. I had trouble with my Luhr Jenson divers changing settings while deployed so I pinned them with very small stainless steel bolts and teflon nuts. The new Walker Deeper Divers hold in place. I have a set of those but they do not plain out to the side as much. Like Shorthanded stated, gradual turns helps a lot.
  2. From the ones I have caught over the years, I have noticed the males fight a lot better than the females. They are acrobatic like a steelhead. The females seem lazy and dog at the boat a little like a brown. The 17lber I caught brown fishing back in the spring of 96 was crazy. Faught like a steelhead on steroids.
  3. Fish in Salmon Creek on the creek side of the Parkway bridge. The close we get to fall, the better the perch fishing will get. At this time of the year, you can find gills, sunfish and small to medium sized perch there. You might even run into some small pike here and there. Good luck.
  4. X4...... Enough said I could not resist Tim.
  5. Don't bring them in the boat at all. Releasing them at the side is the best way to get them back quickly and efficiently.
  6. The tube style rod holders are easier to get the rod out of. The rod butt will get stuck in the back part of the rod holder if a fish has pressure on the rod. I run the Big Jon singles in Bert's tracks and love them.
  7. Nice king. Glad to see the 11 year old got to reel it in. He is will remember that for ever.
  8. That would be awesome in a fish tank. Too bad it is illegal. It would be fun to watch it grow.
  9. Here is one with a Spin Doctor.
  10. Here is the little guy sporting his New Atommik Shirt. I had another one with Spin Doctors all over the tray but he kept trying to eat them.

  12. Conesus. Silver has lots of pike but they run small on average. Conesus is the lake in the area for big pike.
  13. Yes. I got the green and one of the blacks but need a couple more. The chrome w/ black dots has been killer deep for me this season and I only have one.
  14. Don't worry about it. I just found them on the Atommik site and ordered a couple. Thanks anyways Motoman.
  15. I just called and they are all out. Anywhere else?
  16. Thanks Motoman. Should have continued down the road when I was in Fairhaven the other day.
  17. Anyone know who has these? I have tried Narby's, Captains Cove, B&E, Gander Mountain, Dicks, and Screwie Lewies.
  18. Ray, Your fish is a brown. The kipe on your fish is not as pronounced. The mouth closes on your fish and chinookers fish the mouth will not close. Look at the spots. Your fish has spots and Chinookers has x's. Look closely.
  19. Atlantic all the way. Browns get a hooked jaw but not that hooked. Look at the spots in the tail photo, little x's.
  20. pbfreak, Yes they will. They hold 1000' of 7 strand wire.
  21. I have 2 Diawa Heartland 9'6" MH diver rods with the twillie tips already installed for sale. They are in good condition. I'm asking $25.00 each or $40.00 for both. I can meet some one in the Sandy Creek of Hilton area for pick up.
  22. Very nice Atlantic. I would not be suprised if the state reocrd falls in the next year or 2. Is it going on the wall?
  23. Find the where the thermalcline meets the bottom. Browns will be on the bottom and suspeneded in that area. Smaller spoons are the ticket most days. Some days they will take bigger stuff.
  24. Awesome job guys. I will be there. Hopefully we can make this a big event over the next couple of years.
