  1. My buddy sent me this from Marketplace. Could this be stolen stuff? $150.00 was the price.
  2. The bait is gone due to over population of lake trout and the two back to back winters from 2014-2016. SCHREKSTOFF can tell you what happens to alewife populations when we have hard winters.
  3. Rochester Reel Repair

  5. I have caught pike in the summer off piers. Last summer at Hamlin Beach State Park, I caught a 32" northern off the end of the small pier in Area 1. I have also caught them off the Summerville and Charlotte piers in the summertime.
  6. I will have to ask him. I have no idea.
  7. Tim Skrip is making these and selling them.
  8. Two more up for sale.
  9. Just don't eat the single chips he tries to get you to eat! Ask Colin!
  10. August weather is horrible!
  11. You can thank the great brown and steelhead fishery on great king fishing. Browns have been left alone. A lot of kings have been in the inside waters all season. Boats haven’t needed to venture offshore to the steelhead rich waters. If you want them, they are there but no one is burning the fuel with the current prices when you don’t have to!
  12. I have had days when too many flashers in my spread slowed the bite. IF your rigger bite dies, pull the flasher and go with spoons instead. I usually run one in the riggers, spoons on the other rods cheated for more lures in the water. I run 4 divers, 2 with flashers and 2 with spoons. My two coppers are always pulling flashers.
  13. I'd be willing to be they are over the capacity plate and not enough life jackets on that boat.......
  14. I'm looking at putting my kicker up for sale to line up a buyer for the end of the season. The kicker runs great and is in good shape for its age. I just replaced the Impeller this June, the cover latch and assembly, and the cover gasket. The motor has been maintained by Tommy at East Fork Pro Marine. I have some spare parts that will go with it (impeller housing, another cover latch, and cover latch assembly). Asking $1,100. If you want to see it run, it will be on the back of my boat until the boat is pulled in September. Price is negotiable.
  15. If this is true, it is one of the dumbest ideas I have ever heard. Two years of no stocking will cause big issues. If you have fewer spawners in the fertile tribs like the Salmon River, fewer fish will be produced. Think of how many kings get roped out of the tribs and put in coolers on the lake. Will they get enough fish back to the hatchery to collect eggs? We have seen that before. IF there are less predators in the lake, alewife populations will explode. The DEC will not reintroduce new genetics because they do not want to mess up the current Lake Ontario strains (although it seems they have already messed it up by selecting younger year classes of kings to strip milt and eggs from). These fish have adapted to Great Lakes life and are naturally reproducing. There are Great Lakes strains that are still big fish. The Wisconsin side of Lake Michigan seems to be pumping out big kings.
  16. Use your fish finder and fish the marks. Use your speed and temp probe for repeatability. If you are pulling fish you see on your fish finder and it’s 58 degree water, use the probe to get it back there. Don’t be afraid to fish as cold as 42 degrees. Saturday a lot of our kings came down in 42-46 degree water.
  17. Thanks Keith! There is so much dust on my laker gear right now. If this keeps up, I might have to sell it all! 🤣. If I were to get the bells out, my crew would have hung me from the hard top!
  18. I just texted you.
  19. Friday morning we left the creek and headed West to see if the kings were still in the area I left them last weekend. We fished from the pump house to just west of Bald Eagle in 125-150. We had an insane bite on spoons, Rigged cutbait and Deep Rig Tackle fake meat. We boxed a 22.64 that put us in 6th place in BFF. That fish took a Hawks Tackle Black Jeans mag. This morning we left the creek after the pack and slowly (lots of debris on Friday) made our way to the weigh points from Friday. We set down 1 mile East of the Nose and trolled past Bald Eagle in 130-190. Rods were firing 75-105 down all day. 75,85,95 & 105 riggers, 450 and 500 coppers and divers out 265-345 were out top producers. We put together a 80.38lb box to take first place in the main event, 1st place in the Calcutta and third place in the 2 Fish Challenge. Here is what worked for us over the two days: Hawks Tackle Black Jeans mag Atommik UV Grinch meat rig Atommik Shenster meat rig Atommik Chrome Jaxson Meat Rig Deep Rig Tackle fake meat - MVP & Two Face Rigged Cutbait Stinger UV Carbon 14
  20. Congrats to Jake Maier and his crew for winning BFF today!
