  1. Just heat the tip. Make sure you do not get the flame on the rod blank. Pull it off with pliers, sand the rest of the glue off and put the new tip on with super glue.
  2. Thanks guys. We had a great day. It started off bad but got better. We started the day in front of the creek and trolled East. Took a small king and a small steelie with in the first 20 minutes and then got a huge hit on the rigger (Stinger Stingray Gator). The rod never came up. I put a rookie on the rod and he did a great job. Once the king got to the back of the boat, all hell broke loose. The king ended up running into the rigger cable and breaking off the fish. By 9:30, we did not have anything in the cooler. When I got down East, the screen lit up with fish. We ended up taking four nice kings in the next hour. The king bite slowed but the laker bite took off. We ended the day 28 for 39 with 15 lakers, 7 kings and 6 steelies. We fished 95 - 110 FOW and took fish from 55 to 90 down. Flashers and flies took 90% of our fish, we only took 4 fish on spoons. I was running the Live wire Spin Doctor with the Green Hammer A-Tom-Mik, Green Spin Doctor with the Green Crinkle A-Tom-Mik, and the Dalmation Spin Doctor with the Original Hammer A-Tom-Mik. The lakers were taking the flasher and fly combos 70 down over 100 - 110. You would see them on the bottom and then the riggers would fire shortly after.
  3. I was wondering the same thing. It will not last long. I give it until tomorrow evening.
  4. Selling a used dining room table and chairs. It comes with 3 leaves. The table has some chips in the finish and not in the greatest shape. The chairs are in good shape. $20.00 takes it.
  5. I agree. Why can't you hold over fish until the next morning? It is not like we are going to go catch a bigger king in another lake and bring it here to weigh in.
  6. Skeiner, You can send the kings back any time but I would not mind if you guys kept the fleas.
  7. I'm with Clarke on this one. Change it out right away so you not have down time with one of the most productive rods at this time of the year.
  8. You can not carry over a fish from one day to the next. The one rule states the fish must be weighed in on the day it is caught.
  9. 450' of copper is a too much for an inline. The leadcore will work on the inline.
  10. I said 36. There was a 35.47 taken in the GOSD tourney in Canada. That is a lot bigger than last years GOSD. The Summer LOC winner was 31.14, 3 lbs bigger than last years winner. It will be interesting to see how big and the port it comes from.
  11. Sounds like carburator problems to me. Check the plugs and clean out the carb.
  12. 30 LB. Ande Pink. I have run it for years and have had great luck with it. you can get a spool from Cabelas for around $35.00. This spool with do around 12 - 14 Diawa SG47LCA reels.
  13. I will be out of Sandy on Saturday morning. Leaving the dock at 0530.
  14. Thanks Tim. I was really shocked to get #2 and #3. 2 of the 3 I have caught were small. The one I got on Sunday was about 8 lbs. Not as much fun on a 300' copper.
  15. Has anyone else picked up any this season? Before this season I had caught 5 in all my years fishing the lake. This season, I have picked up 3. 2 of them came this past week.
  16. I'm in for this Saturday. I would be nice to see some results from these tournies when they are over.
  17. There are some big goldfish in Conesus. I have seen them in the summer and under the ice on the camera. The rudd look red in the water.
  18. Tom, How big was that laker? It is a shame to see any fish going to waste like that.
  19. I put 6' of 50 lb. floro between my copper and backing on all my set ups. It holds to the floro awesome. Do not put the line in the release too far.
  20. Spoonfed, I'm running the Scotty downrigger releases for my 300' - 500' coppers. I cut the lead short to about 2" and add a shower curtain hook. They hold great. I also run the smaller Scotty plainner board releases on my 100' and 200' coppers. You can just use 2 rubberbands if you do not want to spend the money. Half hitch them around the line and then put them, in a shower curtain style hook.
  21. Sorry Tom let me rephrase that. Momay4000, the last one he had was not hooked to a rigger! Is that better Tom!
  22. Momay4000, His last one did not have cable hooked to it either!!!
  23. They also have a one day pass for $10.00.
  24. Are you going to share the video or what?
