  1. Bald Eagle creek dries up most falls and has very little run. It may get Steelies in spring. Irondequoit Creek is a good possibility in the upper stretches. The Genny, Oswego, the Oak and Sandy more than likely do not have king natural repo. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  2. It’s going to change. It may not totally flip but cold water is coming. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  3. What tribs are good enough for natural reproduction in your opinion? Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  4. There is a common misconception that you need to run out and put twillie tips on the end of your wire rods. You can run the wire until the top guide fails and that takes a lot of time on the water to do. I did it before I went to roller rods on all four of my wires rods. 5. That’s good to hear. A lot of guys I talked to are saying not many small kings around. I have seen a good amount of bait. June it was ridiculous off of the port I fish. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  6. Black or clear divers on Wire not braid. Checking braid frequently = less time in the water which = less fish in the boat. A 1000' spool of wire will fit perfectly on most reels. Anything less than 1000' is rolling the dice when it comes to diver fishing.
  7. The last few years, there were numbers of all year classes of kings. Over the 35 years I have been fishing Lake Ontario, I have never seen the ratio to matures to young kings this out of whack.
  8. Mitchels on Lake Ave in Rochester has Familiar Bite.
  9. Time in the water with the kids is priceless. They grow up too fast! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  10. I know when they net on Conesus, they give them away to anyone with a fishing license. My buddy got free fish from them a couple years ago. They will give you a legal limit of each species.
  11. It is awesome to see your girls enjoy time on the water with you! Great report Jeremy!
  12. The issue with that is, they can only take so much pressure. Year after year of fishing them hard we will be struggling to find them. Looks like I better stock up on inventory for the business, It might get a little busy!
  13. It’s still closed. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  14. We have caught a ton of small steelhead. Thats great to see! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  15. So far this season, the salmon fishing has been awesome. My only concern is the lack of kings under 15lbs. We have only caught a few small kings this season so far. Usually the number of small kings out numbers the numbers of mature fish. It has been backwards this year. Anyone else seeing this? I'm wondering if we are finally seeing the stocking cuts?
  16. If you are marking a lot and not hooking up, it is because there is something in your spread they do not like. I found last season, less is more most days. Too many riggers in the water made fish shy away from the spread. Too many flashers in the riggers put them down some days also. Speed, direction of troll and lure selection play a bi part too as mentioned above.
  17. Troutman87 here on LOU. His name is Harvey. Get up to 5 posts and you should be able to PM him.
  18. Brand new Weaver 3x9x40 scope. I purchased a new .270 and this scope came with the gun. I purchased a different scope and have this one up for sale. $20.00 plus shipping. No scope rings included.
  19. Change out the ignition, and the locks is an easy and fairly inexpensive task. A locksmith will cost a lot more!
  20. A tune up should be performed every other season at MOST. It could be a tune up, plugged carb, plugged filter in at the carb or like I had this season, plugged pick up tube in the gas tank.

  24. Gary, Look into a 3d printer. They are fairly cheap and you can make a lot of cool things with them.
  25. Another Cutco fan here. Find a used one on Ebay and send it back to Cutco. They usually send a brand new one back or sharpen the one you send in.
