  1. It is only at 8500. In 2017 they had it up to 10,200. The local new said it was coming into lake Ontario at 10,990 a couple weeks ago.
  2. Used but in good condition. 7’6” and 8’0” heartlands. $15.00 each or both for $25.00. Local pick up in Hilton NY. I do not want to ship. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  3. That would keep the bait traffic way down. I see it as a perfect time to fish the bay! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  4. Some times having a rod higher will draw their attention away from the cowbells. They see that higher rod first. If I run my probe with a spoon on it while Laker fishing, I run it drastically Higher. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  5. Even when they drop deeper, short cores or snap weights will get you more rods in. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  6. How many riggers were you running? Some days too many riggers or riggers close together running cowbells will actually shut them down. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  7. Sandy was open yesterday when I put my boat in. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  8. There were carp swimming in the parking lot at Cranberry pond in 2017. Did you see the carp all along the parkway in the grass and woods? Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  9. When I dragged cowbells on the thumper, I used a three foot leader from the rudder. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  10. Can’t beat carpin on the fly rod. Here is a giant grass carp I caught on a “bread fly”. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  11. Great job getting the kids involved! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  12. It is much easier to hold back water than it is to release it. With the upper Great Lakes way above average, more water is coming into Lake Ontario. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  13. The environmentalists wanted fluctuating water levels to promote wetland growth. Their study found wetlands were diminishing all around the lake and the best way to bring three back was to have more fluctuation in the lake level. They have done a great job fluctuating on the high end but a lower lake in the late fall could do a lot more for the wetlands and the homeowners/ business owners. Like Abe states, Zebras and Quaggas have plateaued. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  14. I will donate a Gambler Rigs Micro prize pack to the winner. Send me the winners info or have them contact me and I will send it to them directly.
  15. The current lake level is 248.67. The peak in 2017 was 248.69. I would say close enough.
  16. I have seen a lot more lamprey hits than I would like to see.
  17. No. Irondequoit Bay is loaded with shad. Lots of suspended schools at that time of the year.
  18. We used to catch a lot of big post spawn pike on Irondequiot bay by accident trolling for trout. They would come over deep water suspended.
  19. That would be awesome! 50 bird box!
  20. That is correct Lucky. We were planning on rearing steelhead but were left with no time to have a pen built.
  21. There were three in the ponds at Marketplace Mall last week and one in the pond in Long Pond Rd south of ESL and McDonalds the other day. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  22. I saw on the news today that the water amount coming into Lake Ontario is 10,990 cubic meters/second. The amount going out is only 7,300 cubic meters / second. Not good.

    Blanked on I Bay

The bay is LOADED with gizzard shad. The walleye feast on them mostly except when the alewife are in.
  24. Too many variables. What species is your target? What depth is the thermalcline down (if it is even set up)? What time of the year?
  25. There are two kinds of hooks. Those that bend and those that break. I have no issues replacing hooks that break when I take them out. I don't like when hooks bend and I lose fish. I have never had an impaler break and lose a fish but I have broke them due to me being rough and taking them out of a fishes mouth.
