October 31 am 51 degrees S wind 5-10 mph Cloudy Heavy rain becoming scattered Probably not a day I would consider "ideal" but i still hunted. Heavy rain ended here about an hour before sunrise and the light rain ended just before daybreak. Pretty slow morning. I could see some does moving around in the corn midmorning and that would be it for deer sightings. Kind of an ugly weather pattern for the next couple of days. Gonna have to see what this rain and wind wants to do. I did happen to see a few very impressive, fresh rubs on my walk out today. Sent from my XT1585 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

Well by the sounds of it you are definitely in one of his routes to and from his preferred bed. I think the time of day really spells that out. Judging by the frequency that he's using it, he feels confident and secure in his travels also. Pick and choose your days wisely. I would put some serious thought into what the best wind for the stand and also figure out the best approach in or out is. It might sound strange but I would check the wind history for the dates and times you have him on camera. It might not matter but there could be a pattern there. Knowing his travel route to and from his primary bedding gives you an opportunity at him for the entire season and not just the rut. Sent from my XT1585 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

October 30pm 50 degrees NW wind 5 mph Mostly sunny What a night! After 5:00 it was insane. 12-15 total deer. 6 different bucks. Had an amazing encounter with a 10pt that has been very photogenic. He chased a doe out of the corn to get things going. Chased her all over the field. Grunted to him and he seemed very intrigued but he continued to follow the doe. 10 minutes later he came back and came right to my tree. Had him at 10 yards but never got a shot. He was stuck behind a big willow and never stepped out. Awesome night watching all these deer interact. Sent from my XT1585 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

October 30 34 degrees SW wind 5-10 mph Mostly sunny Crisp, cold, frosty morning. Raccoons, coyote, squirrels, and a few deer. Saw a young buck with his nose to the ground chase a doe from a bedding area. A few other deer in and out of the corn but never got the binocs on them. Textbook perfect morning but nothing to fling an arrow at. Sent from my XT1585 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
