Well it took until 5:00 for the first deer to show up... Now they are popping up all over the bean field Sent from my XT1585 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
I hunted until 930 this morning then went to work and back in the tree by 330. I think I need to start a new trend of no work November. Sent from my XT1585 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
Halloween am 41 degrees Sw wind 15-25 Partly sunny Just three little bucks this am. All three were alone and on a mission. Nice to see deer just cruising. We are knocking on the door to chaos. Sent from my XT1585 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
The action this morning has been all young bucks. Three total, all cruising, all by themselves. Sent from my XT1585 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
Looks like a lot of guys called in sick to work today. On the drive this morning, I probably saw the most hunters I have seen all year. Sent from my XT1585 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
October 30 pm 50 degrees Sw wind 20-25 with gusts 30 mph Cloudy becoming drizzle Very tough sit this afternoon. If 30+ mph gusts and 50 degrees wasn't bad enough the rain slowly got worse as the sun went down. Deer movement was insane. There were deer in the fields when I showed up at 3. 23+ deer seen including six bucks. Four first year racks, 2.5 year old tall but skinny tined 8 pt, and one unknown. Lots of sporadic chasing by the younger bucks. They spent their time scent checking the does that entered the fields. At one point I had 16 does and fawns in the two fields. Just got word that Tommy is out of surgery. Everything went perfect. He should be home by Thanksgiving! Sent from my XT1585 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
Not ideal conditions but I'm glad to be on stand and the deer are on their feet. Five so far in the cut beans. Sent from my XT1585 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
Sidelined due to rain this morning, looks like mother nature didn't want me to hunt. It looks like this afternoon might be a possibility. Tomorrows forecast looks awful. Crazy high winds. 50+ mph
October 28 pm 59 degrees Wind nw 5-10 mph Cloudy Occasion rain Well unfortunately for me I came home around 1 or so this morning from the airport and found the battery in my truck dead as a doornail. Because of this I had to skip the morning hunt. With a slight break in the rain I was able to get out this afternoon. Amazing what a difference two weeks away makes in the woods. Leaves are about 50 percent gone and what is left is colored up and falling in the rain. On the walk in tonight I noticed five fresh scrapes. As for deer ... They were everywhere! 20+ deer seen from the stand. Two with racks. One young buck annoying every doe that stepped on to the cut bean field. Sent from my XT1585 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
Looks like the weather pattern finally has changed in favor of us hunters and looks like it's sticking around also. https://www.accuweather.com/en/us/hamlin-ny/14464/month/5600_pc?monyr Sent from my XT1585 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
So as I am typing this I am waiting for a my connecting flight from Atlanta to Rochester. I have quietly been on a 12 day hiatus in Costa Rica. Costa Rica was a great place to vacation but I'm glad to be on my way home. No rest for the wicked, starting tomorrow morning the hunting grind begins. I'm still catching up on the thread. I am looking back at some great stories and some great deer shot. Congratulations to everyone! Sent from my XT1585 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
Even though there is a cold front on its way today its short lived. Overall it seems the summer like weather trend is here with us for at least another week to ten days. It looks like maybe the middle of next week we will see that seasonal change we are all looking for.

October 15 am 62 degrees South wind 5-15 Cloudy Not ideal conditions at all this morning. Cold front on it's way so the next couple of days should result in decent movement. Limited action this morning, just one small buck annoying a doe in the field. The highlight was seeing 6 scrapes on the walk back to the truck. Sent from my XT1585 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
