So who's been visiting this huge community scrape? Camera has been on it for a month and it tells the whole story. 10 bucks total that actually worked the scrape in the past month.
Other deer visited it but i didnt include them. Six of these bucks were in the past 9 days. Enjoy!
Got to witness another buck fight tonight between a couple of little bucks. One heavy clash of the antlers and it was over though. I was greeted by a skunk on my way out who failed at his attempt to chase me down and spray me. I literary ran the last 60 yards to my truck.

Pretty crazy night in the stand last night but unfortunately deer didnt moved until after 6:00. Its a guess but Im thinking i saw 17 deer overall and only 2 with racks. Both 2.5 year old bucks that putting on a heck of a buck fight the first time they saw each other about 30 yards from the stand. Lots of does getting chased by these two into the woods, and in and around the corn. No big guys but the camera on site showed a huge uptick in scrape activity over the past 9 days with 10-11 different bucks visiting it. (including 4 big guys). With all the action i didnt know who was going to show up to the party. Had the bow in hand, ready to go three times...
In a different set this afternoon. Past 4 fresh scrapes on the walk in. Conditions seem perfect.

It felt great to be back in the woods this morning. Not a whole lot to report but apparently 7 deer/ car collisions were reported before 7 am in Monroe county this morning.

Well i havent seen a deer in eight days. High sun and Daytime highs around 27 degrees celsius probably havent helped any. Most of the trees still have their leaves and the thick vegetation makes it very tough to see from the set. Lots of goats (very few shooters) and about a dozen peacocks (not yet in season). The deer hunting has been down right terrible here in Jamaica. Apparently they dont have deer here, lol. Headed home today and back at it tomorrow in the New York woods. Sounds like the seasonal weather change finally hit, so hopefully we should have a good month ahead of us. My wife thinks i am nuts but i am ready for a bit of snow and frosty november mornings.
Trying to put in as much time as possible with the kid before basketball season starts and he can only hunting weekends.Sent from my E6782 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
