I don't typically play with scents too much.( Doe in heat, doe pee, buck pee, etc) but I do play with Mock scrapes. I've actually had very good luck with mock scrapes. The licking branch is everything and the best ones already get scrape attention. For the most part I get a reactionary scrapes in close proximity to my mock scapes. 2-4 typically. And that just helps putting some natural scents closer to my stand. Sent from my E6782 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
No matter what the charts tell you, or the moon, or the sun dial, or any "professional predictions", the time to be in the woods is November. This year we get 3 weeks in November to bow hunt before the gun opener. Im predicting those 3 weeks to be the best! lol

Quote from NYSDEC website...
In WMUs 1C, 3M, 3S, 4J, 8A, 8C, 8F, 8G, 8H, 8N, 9A, and 9F, deer populations are resulting in unacceptable impacts to residents and local ecosystems, and greater antlerless deer harvests are needed to achieve desired population levels. Offering increasing numbers of Deer Management Permits (DMPs; antlerless tags) each year has no longer been a productive way of increasing antlerless take, and changes were needed to direct hunter effort towards antlerless deer.
"Strategy 2.2.6: Where deer populations are above desired levels and DMP quotas may exceed applicant base, initiate a progressive and adaptive approach to increase antlerless harvest by: (Phase 1) expanding the use of Bonus DMPs; (Phase 2) making a portion of the early bowhunting season and late muzzleloading season valid only for antlerless deer; and (Phase 3) implementing a special antlerless-only season for muzzleloader hunters in these areas."
70% of my hunting is done in 8A. Theres is not an over abundance of deer. Not even close.
A lot of talk about the changes for this season. I thought i would post some links for everyone to educate themselves on the changes for this season. I try but Ill be the first to admit that i am not informed enough on what is happening. I believe the DEC is clueless in the way they handle these things!

Well an angry Lady O kept us glued to the dock this weekend. That gave me a chance to spend the morning in the woods playing with stands. Most of my to do list is compete now. 5 cameras up in the past week also.
