  6. Seems like an almost perfect morning to be in the woods. Light wind, 38 degrees, overcast Sent from my E6782 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  7. Video of a couple young bucks from the other night. When i first spotted the buck on the left (broken, half racked 8 pt) he was grunting obnoxiously as walked out of the woods. I watched him tend to 2 scrapes and then as he worked on his third he spotted the other buck. He acted very aggressive in sight of the smaller 3pt and headed right at him. Grunting, posturing. Thought there was gonna be a butt whooping but the smaller buck was smarter then that. https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=871872562830605&set=vb.100000236089564&type=2&theater

  9. After a two week "lull" in the action (with both standing sightings and camera visits), it seems the buck activity is finally gaining some steam. The three cameras that I checked this week all point to an increase in buck activity starting around October 23. Buck camera visits have outnumbered does 2to1, while stand sightings have been closer to 3to1. Scrape activity is once again a priority. Scrapes that haven't seen attention in 1-2 weeks are getting opened up again. (Including 3 mock scapes I made). It shouldn't be news to anyone reading this that November is the time to be in the woods. And it's never any surprise that during the last week of October, things start to get exciting in the deer woods. Sent from my E6782 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  12. Quiet morning this morning. I wonder if its because its 70 degrees out already. Looks like scrapping is picking up again. I saw 3 scrapes walking out today.
  13. Lol. Same here. I think I need to fill some squirrel nuisance permits. It doesn't help much that the oaks are still dropping acorns on top of me. Sent from my E6782 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  16. Wow the deer were on their feet before sunrise. 3 deer with racks and a fourth that I'm unsure (too dark to tell). Here's a pic of one my headlights caught pulling in ( he's missing his entire right antler) Sent from my E6782 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  22. Nothing like bucks chasing does after you get out of the stand at dark Sent from my E6782 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  23. Turkey down! Had a flock of 12 birds come past the tree this morning. I took a tough, 35 yard shot at a decent tom but only managed to cut some feathers off. When the feathers cleared, this Jake gave me a perfect 25 yard shot. Dead in his tracks! Sent from my E6782 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  24. Dont be fooled by my picture. I wouldnt consider my stand "on the field edge". Its actually in a very unique funnel that happens to have corn within shooting distance (35 yards). But to answer your question... No i dont unless your talking corn fields. Gotta love field corn. Unlike short crops (beans, wheat, alfalfa, ect), corn provides security cover. Deer love that easy walk on the edge of the woods and the corn field.
