Thanks for all of info guys. I took a ride to the new Field and Stream store in Henrietta today and purchased some Nocturnal lighted nocks. I put them on a brand new set of carbon express piledrivers. After a slight pin adjustment, which I believe was related to heavier fetching on the new arrows, they seem to shoot virtually the same as my standard nocks.10, 20, 30, 40 yards. the topic of discussion today is "lighted nocks"... Its looking like Im about to add Nockturnal Lighted Nocks to my quiver. I think anything that helps you know shot placement and also helps you find your arrow after the shot is a big plus. you guys hunting with them? yes or no? are they worth the money? suggested brands? problems? other advantages?

The last few seasons i have shot Slick Trick 1" standards. I am currently shooting 100 grain slick trick 1 1/8" magnums. I made the switch to maintain the same arrow flight but a bit bigger cutting diameter. http://www.slicktrick.net/ Im looking for " the grass is greener" broadhead recommendations?

I've struggled to put this into words but... last Monday I arrowed a big 8 pt and never found him. Typical 8, 120s". I have to believe he is one of the bucks that I actually have on film. I could not ask for a better setup. He's approached from left to right and slightly quartered away as he made his way past me. I was able to draw as he stepped behind a tree. Once he stepped out, a quiet mouth grunt stopped him in his tracks at 17 yards and I nailed him. He took off and I heard nothing other then him crashing through the thicket. And then silence. It was right at dusk when I shot him and it started to rain. The longer I sat there the harder it began to rain so I jumped down and began to search for my arrow. No luck at all. As the rain was increased I got to witness all of the evidence disappear. I left the woods and made a decision 3 hours later to wait until morning to search. I figured a blind search in the morning would lead to a dead buck in the thicket. No such luck. No arrow. No blood. No sign. 3 1/2 hours. No dead buck. Not a good feeling losing a deer. Absolutely brutal... Needless to say that put me on the bench for a couple of days but I'm happily back in the game again now. Sent from my E6782 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

I put 5 mock scrapes in play at 4 stand sites late this week. 2 of the sites already had established scraping activity within close proximity and the other 2 none at all. 2 of the sites have great deer activity but lack any good licking branches so with some careful hinge cutting, branches were created. Im using Code Blue scrape mate in conjunction with Code Blue Rack Rub. I have been using Code Blue Scrape Mate for a couple years now (and had luck with it) but Code Blue rack rub is something new. My mock scrapes rarely ever become well used scrapes but instead they spark more scraping activity in the immediate area. Which in return become well used scrapes. The problem with establishing most scrapes is in the licking branch. Im hoping with the introduction of the Code Blue Rack Rub this helps a bit. 2 sites are very close to cameras, so im hoping to get some shots. Ill post the updates...

No a lot of activity this morning but I did see lots of scrapes in the woods this morning. 4 near my stand and another 4 on the walk out. Some video from this morning... Small 8pt working 2 scrapes next to my stand. As he leaves he winds me and kinda stands around for awhile until finally heading off. https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=859421750742353&set=vb.100000236089564&type=2&theater
