  1. experience copper's learning curve with 45# copper first. 300' and 400' were my best rigs last year
  2. Agreed. I would look into that a bit more.
  3. Im using 25# Blood Run tournament mono for mainline and 15# fluorocarbon leaders Sent from my C771 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  4. 90' lead to the diver, 101' total. Diver on its highest setting Sent from my C771 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  5. Sandy Creek 4.19 Crazy bite this morning. Crazy numbers. Lots of Browns and a bunch of Cohos kept us busy this morning. Lots of 42-44.6 degree inside of 15 fow. DW ss spoons took our bigger fish today. The riggers took a few shots but most of the big ones off the slide divers. Goby patterned sticks off the big boards were hard to resist for the cookie cutters.
  6. The same place you posted this question
  7. Clarions still exist but they now only have 2 models 453 and 553. http://www.okumafishing.com/product/view/reels/star-drag-reels/clarion Both models are non line counter reel and make for great copper reels. The Coldwater series took over where Clarion left off and have replaced Clarion linecounter reels. http://www.okumafishing.com/product/view/reels/linecounters/cold-water
  8. Okuma Clarion 55 is my top choice but an Okuma Convector 55 will do the job also
  9. Great reels. No upgrades needed. Sent from my C771 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  16. Sandy Creek 4.13 shakedown cruise 2014 Quick trip this afternoon to cure some cabin fever. Made one pass from Sandy Creek to Cowsucker Creek and then back to Sandy. 8-18 fow. 25 fish on. Browns, a few Coho, and 1 Steelhead. 9 rod set with sticks off the boards, and riggers and slide divers with DW ss spoons. Orange and chart baits were best. Lots of dirty water. Temp 41-45 degrees
  17. The nearest Lowes store will sell you all the shrink tubing you will ever need. The idea behind shrink tubing is to protect your copper knots. Simply cut a 3/4-1" piece and slide it over top of you copper knots and apply heat. Try not to cover your swivel too much or it will lose its function.
  18. I am slowly swapping out all of my Convectors to them. Everyone on the boat last year really like them.
