i would say its the battery. my cable is missing about 3' of coating and it still works fine, so i wouldnt think it was that. i just sounds like its lacking signal strength.
hey blue eyes, i think ray is on to something. how about a tips and tricks section or a terminal tackle reference? we could post the most popular questions like a reference page, similar to the tackle description. for example- tims famous wire knot or the wilis knot. what do you think ray? anyone else like this idea?
2 for 3 this morning (leadcore, rigger, flatline) all steelies nothing with any great size. 70-80 fow the top 20 ft produced. on the radio mostly steelies caught, a few browns , and 1 mid teens king.
10-20 knot wind out of the NE creating a 2-4' chop
setup in 50-60 fow (surface temp 45.6 degrees) with a great screen. quickly hooked into a bow off the board- black and chrome stick 150' back. that depth seemed to be unproductive so traveled a little deeper (80') w/ the same outcome. slid in shallow (8', surface temp 46.9 degrees) and managed 1 small but extremely overstuffed brownie off the rigger.
seriously it was like a graveyard out there sat and i fished with silverfox on sunday and it was even worse)
wow you lost 2 10 color, that sucks.ever think of installing a potato gun on your rig. i agree with you though you gotta have it in the water cause it will produce.
wow where are all the boats? quiet morning on the radio too.
inside waters 8-12', 45.5-47.5 degrees,w/ good color too. pull a few small browns out of there. black and chrome sticks off the boards and took 1 on a kevorkian off the rigger.
well last saturdays shakedown cruise produced 1 steelie and riddled with minor boat problems. this week, the mechanic came out and got the "bugs out" and everything seems great. (i hate shakedown cruises).
headed out sunday morning with great weather and a glassy pond. searched for any colored water inside and it was no where to be found. saturdays wind took care of that. gave up quickly on the inside water ,gin clear. pretty steady 41.5-43.5 temps from inside waters out to 100'+. fairly good screen in 40-60' no takers. dumped 1 fish on the boards. ugly fishing conditions out there. we definetely need some rain to bring some color back.
yeah it definetely sucks. sandy creek surface temperature was 64.7 degrees and 3' down 62.8 degrees. the truck ,direct stock them at the public boat launch (15000? steelhead). im curious to know how other pen rearing sites are doing with temps
