i use 2 napa dual purpose batteries. they are designed to have both cranking amps and deep cycle characteristics. i have one wired for starting and the other to run the riggers and the electronics. typically i get about 3 years out of them and i believe that they have a 2 year full replacement warranty

i noticed the lack of action too, scott. i would love to know what the leader lengths are. alot more lookers than takers too so it makes you wonder whats really going on behind the boat?

for some reason i recieve emails 3-4 times a week from people around the world offering me large sums of money to "help" them. most of the time they ask for all of your personal info: name, address, phone number, ss#, etc here is one i received yesterday: -

i love to watch the leadcore rod get whacked and i love to hear the wire dipsey rod scream but i would have to pick downriggers, myself.nothing better in my eyes than a hot spoon bite on the riggers. plus i think its a better battle of man vs. fish

rswanson330, i think the best advice is to get a nys fishing regulations guide and carry it with you on your trip. and if a question comes up while fishing you be able to answer it, hopefully, without a doubt.
