  1. very nice!!
  2. is it a lack of hunting or lack of hunters, no one else witnessed the rut?
  3. i dont know about you guys but i keep a bowhunting journal to help make better decisions on not just where and when but also rut timing. for me i noticed scrape and rub activity increasing on the october 25 and witnessed my first hot doe on october 27 (w/ 3 bucks in pursuit). for the next 2 weeks the rut resembled the traits of a classic trickle rut. im curious when you guys observed the peak of the rut?

  8. hey times two, they never gave me a "booklet" to reference. the only thing they gave my group was the regulation guides for hunting and fishing.
  9. i took the test this summer for hunting and fishing. i actually took 4 tests. 1 for hunting, 1 for fishing, 1 for general guiding, and 1 for boat and canoe use. the tests are mainly regulations and emergency situation questions. they only provide you with the regulations guides (hunting and fishing). they provide you with absolutely nothing really to study. it was suggested to study the bsa fieldbook. i would suggest also reading the regulations guide and general small boat safety info example questions- what is the min length for bass in lake champlain? what is the maximum number of hook points allowed? the tests are all multiple choice w/ four possible answers. hope this helps
  10. thats great!!

  16. couldnt find a great screen or great temp. worked 75-300 fow w/ 125- 160 fow being the most productive. ended the day 10 for 15 (kings and a couple bows). wire 215- 240' and the riggers 70-105'. stinger nbks and my "no name spoon" on the riggers, and mt dew echip w/ mt dew fly and glow green spinny w/ emerald fly on the wire.

  20. i see the new boat is treating you well. good to see that your getting some action out there and putting some fish in the boat too side note- 2 weekends ago i had 3 break offs on the wire rods ( all 3 between the dipsey and spin doctor) i feel your pain, expensive weekend for me
  21. fleaflicker line is great against the fleas (not one flea all year)
  22. Lt troller 20# mono fleaflicker line and clean spoons off the riggers w/ 10- 20' leads.
  23. left the dock at 5. spent the majority of the day in 146 fow. empty screen but lots of fish. down temp was 70 degrees down 90'. 65-100 on the riggers w/ 70' be the best. nbk, habanero, green glow nk, glow green thunder, and 42 second spoons all took fish. 240- 265 on the wire green glow spin doctors w/ any green fly. ended the day 12 for 25 (11 kings and 1 steelie). had a heck of a time getting the fish to the net
