In a fresh set this afternoon. I hung this stand two years ago with the intention of hunting it during the early season. It's a big ridge line with bedding to the north and east and a winter wheat field that it leads to. Very unique. It's about the only "structure" you will see in anything I hunt in 8A. November 29 pm 37 degrees WNW 5-15 mph Partly sunny Been very slow. Sat almost the whole afternoon in a fresh set and didn't see my first deer until 430ish. Had a doe and a fawn come through and about 10 min later a small buck was hot on her trail. Saw another 12 or so in the field on the way out. Time to really start thinking about hot food sources!
