  1. congrats
  2. Welcome to the site!
  3. Cameras have been pretty quiet since midnight until about 4pm today.
  4. October 25 am 37 degrees Frosty Clear skies Light s wind Not as active this morning as I would have expected with Frosty cold start. I did see 4 year and half old bucks and handful of flatheads between 8-9. The highlight of the am sit was getting a glimpse of one of my shooter 9pts cutting through the golden rod about 930ish. My kid missed a big 10pt this am. He saw 2 deer and both were bucks. He said they both worked passed his stand and worked a nearby scrape.
  5. October 24 pm Light w wind 59 degrees Sunny Late report but the afternoon sir was stellar. Lots and lots of deer on their feet and Early. Saw 1 of my target bucks and saw a new buck. Big 9 pt point with a heavy limp. I didn't see anything visibly wrong with him but he had a pimp walk.
  6. Congratulations!
  7. I would recommend a quality ball bearing swivel at the business end of your coppers. I would also recommend a longer leader length. I personally like 36' of fluoro for my coppers.
  8. Does have been on the moved since I walked in at 330... Expectations are high that this afternoon will be a stellar sit.
  9. October 25 am 44 degrees Clear skies NW wind 7-13 mph Took a few days off to avoid the heat. Cold front rolled in last night so I figured it would be a good bet to be in a tree this am. Went into one of my deep woods sets and it didn't disappoint. Tons of action. I think I saw 7 different bucks. Highlight of the day was listening to two bucks in an absolute battle Royale. Antlers crashing, and sticks breaking. It was madness. One of the bucks was making a noise I haven't heard before. He was aggressively blowing but not like you would hear from an alert doe. It sounded more like I'm pissed off and out of breath. Maybe a buck roar but he was winded. It was wild to hear in the woods. He must of done it 12-15 times until the other buck ran off.
  10. Crazy story and great video... check this out!
  11. Well this buck don't care that it's 80 degrees... Hes gotta freshen up this scrape!
  12. Be aggressive. Looks like a great day. Im going into a deep woods set on thursday morning and going after my #1. I have been waiting for the right wind and a cold front and it looks like its happening.
  13. Got acorns???
  14. So a quick recap of that past few days or so. I have been careful not to over pressure a couple of stands that I have been getting consistent pics from. At this point I am hunting some mornings also. Action has been good in the stands. Mature buck sightings seem to have slowed but I feel I see that every year around this time. Bucks are sparring rubbing and scraping like mad right now. I'm seeing a bit of bumping of does. Bucks just can't seem to help themselves and gotta check every doe they see. I saw a shooter earlier in the week working a scrape line so I adjust an existing set earlier this week and moved it to the opposite side of the woodline along with a cam. Unfortunately we have a warm weather pattern for the next week to deal with. The mornings are cold but with the mid day temps about 70 most of the afternoon action will be just before dark. This afternoon I'm back in the set where I killed my bow buck last year. I had a good 8pt daylight here yesterday at 530 so we shall see what happens. It's always a game of chess...
  15. Well I'm up to 3 bucks with half racks and one that broke off the top of his main beam. The young bucks are enjoying their first set of head gear!
  16. Ill be back at it this afternoon! Im anticipating a good sit.
