Well my kid got it done this afternoon. Long story, short he wasn't even planning on hunting this afternoon. Around 130 he was inquiring about hunting. I told him he had two stands he could hunt with this east wind. He ask me which stand would I hunt. I told him I would hunt the set I hunted this morning. The other stand choice you may see more deer but the other one your bound to see the right deer. And boy did he see the right deer. Just as he was approaching the stand he saw a doe pop up. He dropped to one knee and then he noticed there were five bucks all around her. He picked out the biggest and let it fly. Proud dad moment for sure. His biggest to date. November 22 am 38 degrees Cloudy SE wind 5-10 mph Snow/rain starting at 10am Hunted a fresh set today that my kid and I hung a couple weeks ago. Saw a bunch of does and a small buck. November 21 pm 44 degrees Cloudy NW wind 5-10 mph Certainly more action this afternoon than this morning just not a whole lot of antlers to speak of. However I did have an encounter with a big 8pt and totally botched the opportunity. I never saw him walk out and I anticipated that he would walk directly away from me and never give me a shot. I mouth grunted to him and stopped him in-between a couple of trees before I even had the gun on him. Got the gun up, rushed the shot, clean miss. Absolutely horrible execution by me. He ran back into the bedding and ten minutes later walked out into the field 200 yards from me. I guess I didn't spook him too bad. Sent from my moto z4 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

November 21 am - gun opener 40 degrees Cloudy skies NW wind 8-14 mph Does and fawns every where this morning but a lack of antlers. Sure sign that breeding is in full tilt. I did see one decent buck this morning walk out and scent check a doe in the field and then return right back to the woods where he started. Very methodically. My kid also saw lots does and fawns. Good luck to everyone tomorrow. Be safe. Shoot straight. My kid really hasnt been hunting much this year and Im hoping I put him on a buck this weekend. Its been awhile since I pulled cards but today I pulled four cards today and I was surprised by the buck activity in the past 2-3 days. Pretty impressive. A few decent bucks that arent mine showing up also.
