  4. Honestly they are very similar. The Cold Water reels have some simple upgrades to the them. Either choice would be good for you however whichever way you decide I would suggest buying the high speed models. https://okumafishingusa.com/collections/reels/products/cold-water https://okumafishingusa.com/collections/reels/products/convector-1
  5. I would reach out to Okuma and see what they have to say.... https://okumafishingusa.com/pages/customer-care

  8. I have really taken a liking to the Okuma White Diamond copper/leadcore rods (WD-CL-862M). They are a 8'6" medium action rod w/ large ss guides. I have found that it is tough to find a universal rod that works for short cores all the way through long coppers but it is a very good compromise. https://okumafishingusa.com/collections/rods/products/white-diamond https://www.fishusa.com/Okuma-White-Diamond-Trolling-Rods
  9. I cleaned it up
  10. Thought I would share this write up.... "Shipping has opened March 1 exactly once in the last 20 years, and that was in 2017 just prior to our first record flooding. Note that 2017 was also their longest season, closing January 11th despite the destruction to the shoreline and the record highs. The average duration of the shipping season in the last 20 years is 279.9 days. Let's see if an April 1st, 2020 start date changes the actual length of the shipping season before we start using the catastrophic costs to the shipping industry as a reason to not lower the lake. IJC, ILOSLRB, elected officials and media, some critical thinking please. This is not a 12 day delay, this is simply shipping not getting what they want and spinning it as a costly accommodation. However, the continued costs to the shoreline are real".

  12. Depends on what you are doing? There are many different types of caulk and all have their uses but it depends on location and the reasoning behind it.

  14. Red isnt a big factor for me but quality hooks are.
  15. Curious to know what the all the negativity is that you mentioned? If you havent realized that fishing reel followers have a on going battle like chevy, ford, and dodge fans it might be time to. Those reels will do just fine.
  16. Keep in mind that they all put scent all over there spoons and plugs so literally need to wash them to get the stink off
  17. Let me clarify this post.... These are the only ports that will be getting Chinook Salmon stocking this year. Niagara, Olcott, Oak Orchard, Genesee, and Oswego will be pen rearing 100% of all stocked fish at these sites. Niagara River Olcott Oak Orchard Genesee River Oswego River Salmon River Black River (Jefferson County) These sites will be receiving ZERO Chinook stockings for 2020 and this includes pen rearing and direct stocks. Wilson Harbor Sandy Creek (Monroe County) Sodus Bay Fair Haven South Sandy Creek (Jefferson County) This isnt about just eliminating pen rearing at these sites but all stocking at these sites.
