Fishing Report Your Name / Boat Name: Trophy Seeker ============== TRIP OVERVIEW ============== Date(s): 10-10-10 Time on Water: 6:30 to 12:00 Weather/Temp: Sunny / Brisk Morning / Nice Late Morning Wind Speed/Direction: SW Light Waves: 1-3' subsiding to ~ 1' Surface Temp: 56-58 Location: In front of River =============== FISHING RESULTS =============== Total Hits: 5 Total Boated: 3 Species Breakdown: 3 Kings, 1 Steelhead, 1 Laker Hot Lure: Mag Wonderbread, Mag Laser Spook Trolling Speed: 2.5 Down Speed: 2.5 Boat Depth: 180-240 Lure Depth: 80-100 ==================== SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS ==================== Headed out from the dock at 6:30 with my friends Jim, Dan, and Dan's daughter Julia. Couldn't find info from anyone that had fished in the last several weeks, so we were flying blind. Toyed with working the pier heads, but decided to take advantage of the calm water and ran straight out to 200'. Set first rigger at 100' down with Mag Wonderbread and it fired before setting second. Nice silver 8-10 lb. king. Reset and got rigged and the Wonderbread at 100' fired again, but we dropped a decent king at the back of the boat. Next to go was the Mag Laser Spook on the 88' rigger with another 8-10 lb. king. Wire diver with Hawg Wild Flasher/Fly took a small Laker, and last fish was a dropped Steelhead off a free slider DW SS on the 100' rigger. Screen was great until mid morning. I don't think we caught a fish after 9:30. Worked our way out to 500' with no action. Hope to get out 1 or 2 more times to finish out the season.

Thanks to all for their interest. The boat is now sold! -
Hey there, If I were you I would contact the owner of Baha Cruisers, Ken Nall, at this e-mail address: [email protected]. I purchased a new-to-me 2007 277 GLE this year and have had 2 quuestions that I submitted. In both cases Ken responded within a day, with very detailed answers. I was very impressed with the service.

9/5- water temp
TrophySeeker replied to fosterm22's topic in New York Fishing Reports - Lake Ontario (South Shore)
Didn't change today. Trolled from 60 ft. to over 550 in front of the Genny and didn't find water temp under 72 degrees with 185 feet of cable out. I have no idea where the cold water is, but wasn't willing to spend any more time trying to find it. -

Hello Stephane, I would guess the boat, motor, and trailer with gear would weigh somewhere around 5000 pounds. I tow the boat with a GMC Acadia that is rated to tow 5200 pounds with no problem. The boat is currently located in Penfield NY. -
Here is a pic from one of the reels.

Thanks for the compliments guys. Actually, I was going to take the rod storage out of the cabin, thinking others may not like it, but now I'll leave it unless a potential buyer doesn't want it. Also, the cooler tie-down kit can be removed. I actually liked having the cooler there during fishing. I have a spoon pouch from Amish Outfitters that I snapped to the cooler. This gave me access to my most used spoons. Anthony - we use a plastic grocery bag for our trash. I keep a bunch of them on the boat. We tie one of the "ears" of the bag off to something to keep it open. At the end of each trip we toss in the marina dumpster - cleanup is done. I'm really hoping to sell the boat this fall, so if you know anyone interested, send them my way! Thanks for looking! -

Ed (and others interested), Here are some pix per your request. Sorry, the boat is a little dirty. Fishing area. Motor is tilted up. Tackle Storage in front of port seat. Holds (3) 3600 tackle boxes. Tackle Storage behind port seat. This is actually a "cooler" according to Wellcraft. This will hold 6 or 7 3700 series boxes. Notice the aluminum brackets. A 3600 sits here for often used items. For me that was planer releases port side. Live Well / Bait Well starboard side. Used as live well for walleye. Overflow tackle storage for Great Lakes fishing. Also note aluminum bracket for 3600. This was for terminal tackle. Rod Storage in cuddy (starboard). Have these on port side as well. Storage for (11) 7 foot rods and (3) 8 1/2" rods without breaking them down. Also (1) rod broken down. Removed stove and added hinged lid for misc. items. (Stove in box - goes with boat). Cleaning supplies behind cabin access door. Cabin View. 3 storage areas under cushions for PFD's, etc. Otter Boats and other items fit behind head. I've also updated the itemized list on the first page. Let me know if you need anything else. -

Boat is still for sale. I will get some additional pictures posted later today. Boat is on the trailer in Penfield. -
Hey Rick, Take those Big Jon's and make them electrics for cheap. Good project for the winter. See this post: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=9906&start=15 Mine have held up well, though I don't use them quite as often as you do. I now have them mounted on the hard top of the new boat.
