FYI. This is the product I use on my walleye boat. I use the combiner 100 and trollbridge 24 to charge all 3 of my batteries from the motor alternator or a single bank charger when back on land. http://www.yandina.com/combInfo.htm Sent from my SM-G955U using Lake Ontario United mobile app

There have been a lot of trolling motors for sale on here. It took me almost 2 years to sell mine at about half price of what i thought was a fair starting price. Be patient. Sent from my SM-G955U using Lake Ontario United mobile app -
Starcraft 210 Fishmaster Yamaha F 200 Performance issues Need Advice.
TrophySeeker replied to Trorun's topic in This Old Boat
Wow. That looks like you have the wrong shaft length motor installed. What is the measurement from the keel to the top of the transom? The motor part number will decode shaft length. BTW, your first photo shows the kicker mounted port side, but I don't think that is your problem. Sent from my SM-G955U using Lake Ontario United mobile app -
This actually isn't true. 2 batteries in series give you 24v. Two batteries in parallel are still 12v with double the current. Two 24v batteries (which are really two 12v batteries in series) in parallel is still 24v, just double the current of first pair. Not sure how you would have room for that but simple enough to wire if you want. Charging from the kicker won't work while the trolling motor is in use because the output is about 13.8v. There is a way to do this with a smart relay but not when the batteries are in use at 24v. Sent from my SM-G955U using Lake Ontario United mobile app

It sounds like you are looking to mount a 15A shore power inlet. 30A twist lock is more common for shore power. In either case I personally would not drill through the exerior of the boat for that. Mounting inside the cockpit would be preferable. Sent from my SM-G955U using Lake Ontario United mobile app

You guys look dryer than I thought you would. Looks like it was a well run tournament. Wish it was there before I moved east. Nice publicity. I saw nice coverage on TWC news when I got up this morning. Not sure I want to see Matt's face at 4am every day though...[emoji16] Sent from my SM-G955U using Lake Ontario United mobile app

I'd be careful posting using gobies for bait...

Nice!!! I have not caught a pike up there in a few years. A guy in our camp fishes for walleye and catches almost nothing all week, except a few pike. Not sure why they avoid me. We did try casting Stick baits for them one afternoon but only hooked a few largemouth. Sent from my SM-G955U using Lake Ontario United mobile app

Pap - never had a problem like that. I have been stopped and inspected several times, but always knowledgeable and courteous. LTF - I'm not surprised you found them a little shallower. I tend to fish the deeper structure than many. Also, since I fish light tackle with a lot of scope, it's hard to know exactly the depth of the bite - though you can usually feel the structure on the way up. Did you try any night trolling?

Yep. For both stealth and abrasion resistance. Sent from my SM-G955U using Lake Ontario United mobile app -
They are still there. There are some reports here with how to deal with the gobies. Sent from my SM-G955U using Lake Ontario United mobile app

I have, and it can be effective, especially on clear nights. However, I fish for close to 8 hours in the morning, often a couple hours in the afternoon, and then after a couple beers back on land I'm ready for bed at dark. Plus - I really don't enjoy trolling for walleyes. I like to jig for eaters. Many guys like to troll for trophies. On Gull Lake you would be trolling for eaters, which I don't really enjoy. However, you can put some nice fillets in the freezer with a couple hours of night trolling.

I think you guys must be using way heavier jigs than I do. For lead heads I use 1/4 oz most of the time. Occasionally 3/8. Never bigger. The round body bucktails are usually 1/2 oz and the body style snags easily. I like the stand-up style, and this particular one has a separate eye to tie on a stinger. https://shop.northlandtackle.com/seasonal-tackle/open-water-fishing/stand-up-fire-ball-jig/
