I've been fishing here on opening day for 20+ years with a friend. We have always had some kids with us including my son who has been going for about 18 years now It's always great when the kids get a fish. Here's a few pics from the day. This is my sous chefs son (Robert) and his second year fishing with us at Powder Mills park. His 1st catch a nice 14" brown trout . He took the brown trout to school and got to answer questions about it to his class He got another one the bosses son finally got one after a long time of getting his chops busted by a few of us Part of the gang including my now 25 year old son in the yellow rain poncho. Part of my catch We have an older gentlemen that we have become friends with over the years (Big Jim) that fishes a hole next to us who I netted a fish for on Friday. It was great to see the happiness on his face when I netted that fish for him even though it was only about 12 inches. He later told me as we were leaving that his wife isn't doing well and has cancer . I certainly hope she gets better and hope to see him there next year with good news. As much as I enjoy fishing the big O for kings, it's days like this every year (getting up around 2:30AM to be one of the 1st guys in the park) and seeing guys like Jim or kids asking "is it time to fish yet" or "when can we start to fish" and catching their fish that make opening day at PM Park a lot of fun

The Motley "LOU" Crew "Group photo. Hank and Bob have somethin up their sleeves." Yeah I over heard Hank telling Bob that as Moderators they can hack into our LOU accounts anytime they want and those dummies don't even know it "Waiting in line for the Goby seminar" Hank telling Vic sr and jr " Big guy behind me is Mark and for a guy named Skipper he acts more like Gilligan and then he said "that Fishinman is using that phone to get the inside track on who is gonna win the NASCAR race today (I was the only one who had the winner that day ) Hank: "man I may have driven race cars back in the 20's when I was a teenager but he is to fantasy NASCAR what I am to engine repairs THE MAN!"

Well we all filled our carts to overflowing and you'll be getting an invoice in the mail. PS: This must be paid within 3 weeks or your RV & Home will belong to BPS. Thanks for thinkin of us, we thought of you, umm, for a minute anyways. Hurry home ol buddy. The invoice is in the mail. Cart full? Actually in addition. I forgot to tell everyone Bob is putting on a "Goby catching Tips & Technique" seminar at the tank as-well at 12 noon. As a renowned master at these feisty lil critters it should be a very informative affair not to be missed.

Here's a few pics from last years outing at PB. The excitement is overwhelming :lol:These guys really know how to party, lively bunch here Mr Excitement Shawn aka FX >> take note of the open lap top. Now you know why he seems to be on the LOU site all day and night Adirondack Chowder has this effect on Muskybob. Really Bob sleeping in the house with your hood up? The Party machine Nick aka Schools Out. I believe he was the youngest guy there. Oh wait 8 year old Eskimo Joe was there too and out lasted him. Lake was a little bumpy so we did some perchin in the bay on Nicks boat: Watch out Eskimo Joe at the wheel Nicks friend "Swamp" (chris) getting muscled by Joey for the hot spot on the boat! vic aka Sliderbite hoping to catch a perch as to not be out done by Joey Muskybobs boat out looking for brownies. And the food! Lets eat The crusty bread and my chicken sausage Jambalya Beef tenderloin on the grill the finished product, smokey, juicy and tasty and now the best for last What exactly was going on here Nick??? Does the future Mrs. Lee know about "him" If you can make it up even for a day or two, it really is a great time -

3rd Annual Port Bay Get Together ( Postponed )
FISHINMAN replied to L&M's topic in Open Lake Discussion
Guess I spoke to soon . I will be leaving on the 17th for Maryland and will probably have to work both Friday (15th) and Saturday (16th) plus pack and all that good stuff Anybody ever thought about maybe the 1st weekend in May? LOC starts on week April 29th and an option for some of us to fish the derby together. Weather might be a little more favorable. Last year the weather kinda stunk for the get together. we got out like part of a day because of the winds. Just throwing it out there as an option. -
Bob looks like they found your lost gear http://www.grindtv.com/outdoor/blog/248 ... years+old/

Not looking that hard , because I have 2 that I offered him for free and he hasn't responded to a PM that I sent him that he can have them and they are in Fairport where he lives
