Looks like I'm in for one more trip to the big O for anything that will take a spoon, stick or fly (except Lakers  ) in the AM with Jax on his boat. We'll let you know how we do good  or bad :x Never been out in the lake trolling this time of year. Casting at Ginnea back in the day in the snow flurries but never trolling.

That's a good video tutorial on netting a fish maybe Jason should watch it from what I hear he needs some "learnin"

$2.57 here in Chili :x That's why I dry to Henrietta  I was thinking of filling up the boat and putting some fuel storage stuff in it :?:

That's like the spot and the way I fished for them in the past. I told them I'll meet them there and we'll give it a try. I'll let ya know how we do. Thanks

Anybody had any luck this time of year for walleyes in I bay? My friends are thinking of taking there small boat out at night or cast from shore from a spot I had luck with in the past at night but that was in the early summer. Thanks,

GREAT PICTURES ROD! -
John that's better yet, you can come in after the show As far as steakhouse prices goes there's a lot to consider as to why their prices are so high. Sometimes they are justified other times there not. Ours our  :!: There is a HUGE difference between what you buy at a "local meat shop" and what I have in our restaurant which is dry aged beef. Come by the restaurant sometime, even if it's just to say hi or let me buy you a drink and I'll show/explain to you why we get the prices we do.
-
John, here's what you do. Eat at Tournedos Steak House (where I'm the Chef) here in Rochester, then go to Toronto to see the show. The meal will be so good that you (or better yet your wife) won't care if you miss the show completely  The one restaurant I was gonna suggest isn't open anymore up there, the owner/chef moved to NYC to open up his restaurant there. Can't think of anywhere up there to go to but I'll ask around for ya too.

Just found out my brother in law has an apartment on long pond with a dock  . I was wondering if anybody accessed the lake from there this past year. I believe I remember reading that the channel was low in the past :?: . My father in law and brother in law were wondering about the fishing in Long pond too. Bluegill your dad still live down there?

Jeremy you sure that's not a boat ANCHOR :? :!:

Chad once again you have out done yourself :!: It's great to see you make improvements (in what was already great) and keeping it user friendly. Thanks again One last thing, can you make it so that Ray's post come up so that there are periods, commas and spacing between words in his sentences and that it automatically goes to spell check or it won't allow you to post unless it is in proper form. I thingk./were'... ohl sterting totak like,he,....tiips..,:'{) That would REALLY enhance the site :!: Ray I kid because I care............. ABOUT THE REST OF US :!:

Sorry to hear about your friend Musky.

WOW  I just decided to read that whole post  As a guy that fished in 2007 Sodus Pro Am as my first one with Ray K, Musky and I forming a team I had a great time (even with being sick on day 2) three strangers that all met right here on this site and it was the first time all 3 of us had even met. I think the observer rule is a good one as long as they are explained the rules and what their job is. I know at that particular "captains meeting" it was hard for us to hear the rules with all the idol chit chat in the room by guys that had been doing them for years who didn't really need to hear the rules or didn't care because they weren't going to maybe abide by them all anyways maybe  :x . As far as the "NO CULLING" rule goes I hated it last year at the Niagara event . Being a guy that releases 99.9% of the fish I catch that is the biggest part of the reason as to why I will no longer fish these events. Keeping fish that are 19inches and weigh 5lbs or less sucks :!: Couple that with the fact that you spend a lot of money to go and participate in these events and like it was stated you fish for maybe 2 hours or less and your done stinks   :x. I understand the water temp issue with catch and release in the warmer water but certainly not at the Niagara that's for sure, but I also think that isn't all that accurate for the most part anyways but understand too that they want to keep the rules the same for all 4 events:!: Finding an observer isn't all that hard if it is explained to them in the first place what exactly they will be doing as far as their job and that they will be on a different boat than yours. Look at our observer at Sodus last year. It's the person in BLUE. "JOY" TO THE WORLD!              As far as the Iceman goes like a few guys have stated put up or shut up! The only reason you have stated for not fishing the pro ams is because you "don't want a stranger on your boat"! Sounds like a load of ___IT or you have something to hide maybe ! Fishing the Pro Am's is tougher than catching a single big fish in the LOC. By the way how many hours did you fish in the LOC. Try to tell the truth as we don't have any observers to dispute your answer as to whether you are or aren't telling the truth Just messin with ya don't have a hissy fit and you should call Musky he's a great guy to fish and talk with if you ever get a chance to. Way to go Rod aka Fishtails you got everyone in an uproar..... LOL :!: Actually good thread especially this time of year.

Mike, nice job of "catching" but that net :?: :x :x :x :x At least you got a picture of it on video

Musky that's the same guy and fish. There was a women there that took a picture too. Nice lady who just got into the trout and salmon fishing she said. Shane is your friend a lady? Nice lady. I didn't catch her name but she was helping him keep his line off the back of my boat that was sitting on the back part of my trailer. Needed to get the trailer backed down further to get the boat on it because like Shane said the water is really low like a foot and a half but needed to wait because this guy "hooked" (or as it really was hog tied) his fish right then. There were salmon eggs all over the top of the launch from somebody that just left them there   . I think if there was a garbage can available most guys/girls would use it but I understand they would need to get it emptied.
