The only way to start the season
FISHINMAN replied to jt_6's topic in New York Fishing Reports - Lake Ontario (South Shore)
JT_6 ditto what Muskybob said. Hopefully you got all the "bad" stuff out of the way for the rest of the year. One suggestion though, buy the kid a new hat one that's either silver and black or one that has the words "Lake Ontario United" on it as a prize for him getting the first fish of the year P.S man you look like Whitey Herzog  -
Did a quick shake down on the boat this afternoon out of Sandy but only fished for about 1/2 hr. Everything ran well, no leaks, riggers both worked, and the fish finder is back and running again after it died on me at the end of the year. Wasn't out long enough to see if the gas gauge works but the Trail Blazer gas gauge went down without a problem on the way there and back    No releases on my "2 pole spread" water was a little murky and only about 44 degrees (didn't venture out further than 15 feet) Talked to 2 guys that got a zero from Sandy to Cowsuckers creek and back and another 2 guys got one small coho and lost a big brown at the net :x I'll be out Friday AM with some guys on my boat or Jax It was great to out on the big O! Looking forward to a great year of being lost, having tangled lines for Jerry to laugh at and lost probes, but catching a lot of fish.

YT that's what I like to hear. Unfortunately there hasn't been to many worse lately either Now just need to get you out of that Yankees gear
-
Ray, I'm here now you can leave
-
Billy I hear ya I used to live less than a mile from the lake and now "have" to drive 35 minutes to the lake and 35 minutes back home. I drive a Trail Blazer that gets crappy gas mileage (though better than my Durango did) and trailer my boat both ways. It's gonna hurt ALOT this year   . I may leave my boat on occasion at a friends house about 1/2 way there if I go back to back days to save a few bucks. IT'S GONNA SUCK AND WILL EFFECT HOW MUCH I GO!!!! Fortunately my boat is paid for so I don't have that payment to deal with. I have a few friends that I take out and have always in the past never excepted $$ for gas but will now when offered We as a nation need to get together and try to slow this down somehow :?

Thanks I'll pass it along to him. Ray lets go the the falls, you can hold the net up above the horseshoe for me
-
Anybody have any info on this? I have someone that works for me that is interested in it? Point him in the right direction
-
Yeah...no such thing! You would be amazed at how many tricks these two know about with a camera. They can make 3lb browns look big with crappie sized lures hanging from thier mouth. YT I saw the way you were holding that one between your legs last week trying to make "something" look bigger than it probably is  Nice fish again Billy

FISHINMAN replied to Jax's topic in New York Fishing Reports - Lake Ontario (South Shore)
Jeeeeeweeeeeeeeee! Nice way to start out the season . Billy wants to know how many yards of line those spiderman reels hold  .. Hey got another "chef" fisherman to join us. Jason Walker from Locus Hill loves to fish. I'm gonna swap out time on the boat for some time on the ponds at the coarse to bass fish. There's some monsters in there He lives near me so we can all hook up and shoot the breeze some time. Hoping to get in the water this week too -

Boats ready and so am I hopefully this week!. Are the docks in at Sandy?
-
Bob did it sound like a BIG WHITE VAN with some pipe wrenches and other pluming tools in the back clunking around like they don't get used much, racing off? I think I know the guy  THAT WAS GREAT!
-
What the heck are you saying? This is a perfect example of what happens when Ray's wife walks in on him and he's surfing the "all man" sites and he tries to hide it like he's on the fishing site   Get off the computer and get on that kicker!
-
Ray lets get out, sounds perfect
-
Muskybob you must be :? :? Ray not even if it was a king sized bed :!: :!: Ray, call and let me know which way is west before I leave the house that day so I'm not late
-
Is there a shortage of rooms? From what I hear Ray has booked a single room with one twin bed for he and Muskybob for that weekend . The only thing I can guess is that there is a shortage of rooms? Thank God I live close enough to drive home and sleep in my own bed I still will fish with you guys though

Pat what time on Saturday or Sunday?

Hot Meatloaf vs Cheap Plastic Fork....yikes!
FISHINMAN replied to muskybob's topic in Open Lake Discussion
I'm in for all but Oswego as of now, but if Ray doesn't stop fishing and work on his old kicker for me, they may not let me out of jail to fish them  -

I've never fished down there but is that a boat out off the end of the pier?
