  1. Ray that is funnnnnnny :!: I am in tears over here!! That ranked right up there with Skeiner/Fishstix battles from years past Brian congratulations on the big day. First you like to fish for lakers not your getting married... see your not that smart  , The kid will go out again for sure, there's no doubt about that. Trust me I got the last laugh on the banana thing  Have a great time at the wedding and honeymoon. I promise to leave all the lake trout out there until you get back, that's my wedding present to you. P.S Brian where and why is your rehearsal dinner or reception NOT at the Inn on Broadway and Tournedos Steak House at 26 Broadway Rochester NY ... PLUG, PLUG
  2. Fortunately, i'm persistent!
  3. Brian the kid was almost crying . I told him no way only if 1 stumbles onto us  :x Would have gone for the browns but I think that was earlier. Nice to finally meet you in person. do you work Friday morning :?: Jax wants to go to the depths in his boat. Gee wonder what happened to that banana
  4. dremarquis, don't venture out farther than 150' nothing out there today. Stay in close and shoot for the browns and maybe a king mixed in. Found that out today when I went inn search of kings out further. Big Fat SKUNK First time this year :x 1 knock off inside 85 ft. Passed a few dead skunks on the way out didn't think the smell would stay in the boat though, or it was that %** banana Jax set on the back of my boat before launching :x
  5. This is not good! http://timesunion.com/AspStories/story. ... =7/24/2007
  6. What tricks? Like how to actually get the fish in the boat
  7. WL, mine are the two plastic ones together without the metal clip, like the 1st picture but 2 together, one has like 4" of mono and the other is like 6" but they are connected. You just clip one plastic one right to the cable and the other to the fishing line. I'll post a pic. when I can for you.
  8. See ya out there. I'm heading out to the depths for kings.
  9. Brian, when you know what freezes over or there is a blue moon or Jax doesn't drop over 50% of his fish
  10. Pops I hope to be out there too on Wednesday AM. Capt. Pat you going out Wednesday evening? Give me a shout on the Telly (353-7700) might like to leave my boat at your dock if possible so I don't have to trailer it from Chili to Sandy, back to Chili and then back to Sandy then back to Chili again
  11. Waterlogged what problems did you have :? :?: I have run them with no problems reading speed or temp, and I believe that Jack aka Shorthanded had a sub troll and I know that he used them on his boat. They are plastic and rubber so I don't see where there would be a problem.
  12. Jim, it's actually the Orleans County Derby and it runs Aug. 4th-19th. The last 3 days actually run into the LOC derby too. That's all I know about it. Maybe the people @ the ATTHEOAK.com site have more info.
  13. Brian, NO COMMENT :x  :!:
  14. Good thing you didn't tell Ray you had that oil he may have wanted you to rub it all over him  Hmmm..... 10 fish landed in the 2 days at Sodus with me on the boat (all be it a little sickly 1 day) and only 2 fish at the LSR and I'm not on the boat  kinda makes me wonder
  15. WOW  Looks like I made the right decision to stay home. I think this thing was doomed from the beginning because it sounded like a last minute thrown together derby to begin with. Ray what about the Olcott Derby :?: Turn your phone on :x and give me a call.
  16. Hijinks, cowbells are the ticket from what I saw the other day (never used them ) but like LT said get what ever you can down near the bottom and run it SLOW!! Use as light a rod as you can to give you a better fight. One suggestion for you is to have your nephew bring a book or game boy with him to keep him occupied while you are trolling. Good luck and don't be afraid to go for some kings early then try for the lakers :x Try to contact Brian aka Gambler (boat name "Escape" on CH.72) if he's out he can put you on them he's an expert
  17. Thanks again for the concern, I actually pulled in right behind Trout & About. Did he have some engine trouble? I heard somebody say something about losing some power or something that was coming in. I was gonna drive over to the other side to see you but I had to get going. Another time maybe. Next time I'm fishing near you please don't disturb the lake trout around me
  18. Bob, more like "easier" even earlier this week. Oh yes there is something wrong with a LT bite :x No fight and reset the riggers, waist of time, gas and energy if you ask me :!:
  19. All I can say is slow! What a difference a couple of days make  No fish in site and bait all but disappeared. Unless you like the lake trout action and there was a lot of that today from other boats that "targeted" them. Guys like Gambler, Trout and About that hammered them it the 25-35 amounts, and Jax aka Mr. Drops :? :x who also boated like 8 or 9 the fishing was slowwwwwww. I ended up 3 for 3 with 2 mature kings in the 25lb range and 1 freakin 10-12LB Lake Trout that those other guys stirred up :x when I was passing by them (Gambler, Trout and About and I all had fish on within 100 feet of each other) 1 King was on a Mag R&R watermelon back 35ft, down 60ft over 130ft on a rigger. The other was on my super Siggs rigs Green apple fly behind that Mtn Dew on Mtn Dew Spinny that just keeps taking fish (fly is getting a little worn but it is a great testament to the job they do on those flys ) on the wire back 180 on 2.5 in 85ft of water. Seemed like maybe they liked a little speed as I sped up to 3.5 GPS and took both kings on turns. Thanks to Capt. Pat for giving me a call today after being out last night with some info and Gambler for the storm info  and Jax for his info also. Pat told me later today a friend of his was doing well on fish out in 300ft
  20. Jax how's about the method you used on Wednesday  :?: That seemed to work well
  21. Musky you are gonna need WAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYY MORE THAN A COUPLE OF BEERS!! Grab a few out before 9am or they will be all gone with Ray there  Get some pics of big Buffy and little Buffy!! W.W.IV. there is no LOC derby going on right now, it ended at the Sodus Pro-Am
  22. B & E tackle on 104 just past Webster is pretty good and is close to Rochester. I was at Abes In Sodus during the Pro-am and they were loaded. That place is awesome!! I am heading out there next week to get my new probe and buy some other goodies  You can also try S&R tackle in Sea Breeze they added alot of trout and salmon stuff Nk's and Yecks, of course this is after I lived 1 block from there for 20yrs and they had worms and minnows :x
  23. Buffy Ray you see that deer in your picture? You are starting to look like that in my mind
  24. Sorry Buffy no 2 rods for this trip . I could send you some chum in a bag if you'd like . I am on the shelf for tourney's until fall LOC. Need to work (it's what most all of us have to do) and finish my landscaping job around the house. Musky, man the wire and make sure he keep his cloths on  Good luck to you guys I'll call ya and if you don't finish in the top 10, I'll/we be wondering what the difference was :? :?:
