  1. Emptynet do you live in Rochester?
  2. Mark, being busy at work is a good thing. Didn't realize you stayed up at Wilson the whole month. Hope to catch up with you guys to say hey down at the Pro Am in Sodus. I'm fishing my first Pro Am with Muskybob and Ray which I am sure will be a fun time no matter how we do.
  3. I agree with the whole name thing what difference does it make to them and really how much more work is it really? As far as Al aka Fishshack I think if you catch a fish no matter what catagory then you should be able to enter it :!: What's the difference if you get 2 checks or they give out 2 seperate checks to two different individuals? If you entered in the derby and are able to be talented enough or like me lucky enough to catch more than one fish that qualifies , then why the heck shouldn't you be able to cash in on all of them? WHY WHY WHY!!! Just think then Gambler could cash on 1st - 10th places in the laker division
  4. WOW A KING ME AND REELJERKS SITING IN THE SAME WEEK  :!: :!: Great to hear from you Steve and glad to see your on the fish down there, even without me scaring all the fish towards you Hope your son does well in Holland I know you were excited for him when I spoke to you last. Good luck and let us know how he makes out.
  5. Blah Blah Blah about the lakers. Not worth a cent as far as I'm concerned LOC or not. I would rather catch a 5# brown in the spring than a 20# cement block any time of the year. They don't fight for crap, period! The 7 or 8 lb brown we took on Tuesady was a way way way better fight than the 12# laker my buddy caught the week before that literally sat there straight down and just reeled staright up, don't even think it splashed   They suck and should be eliminated from the lake. Best part about the derby's are that people catch them, keep them and then they don't go back in the lake Jax's told me about your 7 fish on  That must have been a real fire drill. I agree totally with everything you said about Sandy. Great fishing but miss some of the boys from I-Bay
  6. :x
  7. Empty congrats on finding a boat, that's pretty much the same way as mine are mounted too  , except mine is on a aluminum slide rail. Boy Maniac that's a scary picture looks just like my setup, the nets even in the same place  Check with Billy V he had some 48" Traxstech (formally Pursuit) railing for sale. I don't know if these can be connected to fit the back of your boat? http://www.lakeontariounited.com/fishin ... php?t=1367
  8. I am looking for a Taxidermist in the Rochester area for a my bosses 11 year old sons Brown Trout that he caught the other day.
  9. RJ is she standing behind you  The new top, side and drop curtains and it's size, 19.5 aluminum it's easy enough for me to handle at the launch, fish and steer her by myself when it's not snotty out there.
  10. YT your right  I hear that of the 12 fish at "least" 4 of them were of the laker AKA cement block fish  Jaxs was out with him and he likes to go for those too . I hit Sandy today (Tuesday) with my son in law and my bosses 11 year old son and once I got them to watch the poles when my back was to them :x we landed a 20+# king (son in law) and lost a king on the wire (11 year old  :x ) but then got a couple of cohos and a nice brownie on the wire trolling in. Wicked current still from east to west. East troll got us everything but the brown. Silver with green/chartruse tape got 2 fish, e-chip with a green howie fly took the brown and the lost king and watermelon took one of the coho. All fish were 75-80 feet down over 120-125 feet, with the brown coming in 60feet with the wire out 170. Talked to a guy named Flattop and he wasn't having any luck in closer so he went out to 400 feet and got a couple of bows
  11. Pat it's a 19.5 Sea Nympth.
  12. Jerry thank you very much for the invite you have my number ( :?: ) I am always game for an evening trip on Sundays if you need 2 rods ( right Ray :?: ) especially down there were I am getting a little more familiar with, but am always looking to learn about that area. Not problem at all with you having a nap and not getting back to me, I have seen how you Captains work and it is exhausting :!: P.S my wife gives me messages like that too :x
  13. Pat, wish I knew you were out Sunday :x I hit the water around 6:15pm with the Mrs , found fish in the 70-100ft range too. Currant was a little tough. Couldn't get a release until I went out to 150 feet and trolled back into 125 or so on a SE troll and got 2 kings back to back within 10 minutes around 8:30. Both down 75 and back 60 feet on the riggers, one 8-10#er on the slider Nk 28 DL that is was just whipped from a couple of weeks ago that I let the wife bring in after watching it leap around behind the boat (I'll post the picture later ) and the other king around 18-20#s was on a R&R watermelon that just screamed out line 3 times , that one I left up to me to land . That was it 2 for 2 and a beautiful night on the water. Heading out Tuesday AM with one of my son in-laws and maybe even that evening again. Anybody know if I can park my boat anywhere on or in the Sandy creek area so that I don't have to tow it to and from my house in Chili twice that day :x :?: Thanks :!: P.S got to meet Fish Junkie and Pops at the launch, and UnkleJim at Gander Saturday (Capt. Bob from Reel Excitement was great by the way) always nice to meet guys from the site
  14. DB, Your welcome and thanks. I have the mower set real real high as to not hit the rocks  . I wish I had a lawn it was supposed to go in last friday, but hey when my boss is paying then I can't grumble a whole heck of a lot :x
  15. 6:30 am on the water. Started at 60ft and marked a ton of bait in the 70-75 foot range. It was a hot day and the fishing was slow so I contacted my AC guy and he said that I need to cool off a bit and try a longer lead. Lock jaw fish though until about 10:30 when I hit the double coho's on 1 rod again (3rd time in a month  ) . Then about 10 minutes later a 15# screaming king and 15 minutes after that a jumping , crazy king about 10# that spalshed us next to the boat :x . Marked absolutly nothing from 100 -125 feet when I rolled out that way once to check it out. No other boats out. Finshed 4 for 4 83ft of water down 48,61 and 67 on the riggers all trolling east 2 on R&R watermelon (Ray run them they work :!: ) 1 on a slider 2 on R&R silver and purple with crushed glow tape across the middle 2.6 on the GPS 60 and 35 foot leads P.S this was the same guy that had the long yellow fruit (you all know what I'm talking about :x) in my boat last time. He assured me this time in the car that none of these were with him today
  16. Hit the water about 5:45am and headed out to 70ft of water. Trolled out to 200 and didn't mark very much of anything, no bait and a few fish right on bottom. Got a small king in 197ft of water down 85, that's where I saw the first fish of the morning that wasn't on the bottom on the graph at 86ft and bang  Mtn. dew spin Dr with a Howie Packer fly on the rigger (thanks Jax ) started back in on a SE troll and brought the rigger up from 65ft to 48 ft and had quite a show from a nice steelie behind the boat that was out of the water more than in the water until it ran straight at the boat until it was even with the rigger cable. Handed the pole to my friends son while I "tried" to clear the wire and it jumped again and spit the R&R watermelon right back at our face. That was it for fish on the day. Only fished 3 hrs (got a little too bumpy for my friend) and we headed in. His sons first salmon and the steelie was just a blast to watch Didn't try in close at all, wish I would have started at the 40 foot mark and then headed out. Need a few days of light winds to settle things down a bit.
  17. Anybody been out the last couple of days? Headed out at 5:30 am on Sunday, if your out give me a shout on channel 8
  18. I didn't hear you talking any smack about a week or two ago when it was 12 out of 14 fish for me to your what was it maybe 2. 5 out of 9 isn't a very good catch ratio and you fished an hour longer too. I believe you had 2 in before I hit the water. So it's more like 3 to 1 and my 1 fish was even bigger that any that you caught. However your boss Colleen wanted it. She wants our stuffed eggplant recipe from our wine dinner and she'll get that when hell freezes over. Wegmans people think they can't get whatever they want. AINT HAPPENING :x As far as the docking goes that is honestly the first time in 14years that that has ever happened  . No harm done though. Besides you know how it is wind is whipping catching the top just right, trying to get in the slip:shock: OHHHHHH wait you don't know how that is PS. I'm telling ya it was the banana What's your schedule this week I am taking some extra time off this week lets get out maybe Kirk too
  19. Billy, being a chef and all, I recommend Forschner's to all my cooks and the people that come to my cooking classes looking for a decent knife for two reasons they are good knives and aren't over priced by any means. I use one for all my steak cutting at the restaurant. Put a steel to it every time before use and hit it with a stone ever once and awhile and your golden
  20. \Except when you are trying to get food out of his station at work
  21. He likes bananas with his beer too! He feels you should bring a banana for good luck
  22. HMMMM 85 down over 100 with alot of blow back doesn't spound like scraping bottom. That's why I was shocked that it was a freakin laker :x  . Hate those darn things :!: Get them out of the lake. They should be catch and destroy. I will keep them just to get them out of the lake Boy you drop 1 fish, probably because of the other guys in the boat that can't drive staright or get poles out of the way quick enough and he doesn't let you forget it  Ask Steve about the fish I landed with him on his boat during the derby on the wire with the dipsey not tripped. hmmmmm capt. and great driver (Shorthanded Jack) keeping things straight and out of the way  HVAC I am still yet to see a big fish in your hands
  23. .net here you go http://attheoak.com/spoons/habanero.jpg
  24. Hey HVAC boy don't pat yourself on the back so hard  First off it was on the rod you told me to pull up from 85ft , second off your set up didn't fly either and third off it was a stinking, lousy, freakin nasty big eyed LAKE TROUT  :x  :x  I even had to use my new net on the darn thing :x I found out the problem as to why I couldn't get a rod to fly..... Are you ready :?: :?: We get back to the dock and my friend (whom I might add got me started with fishing Big O for trout and salmon back in the 80's) asked me this, Tomm you want some water, or a >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> BANANA   I SAID WHAT WHAT DID YOU SAY, A BANANA HAS BEEN MY BOAT ALLL DAY :?:  Problem solved now I just need to get the lake trout stink out of the boat. P.S Please Ray no Pics from Sunday :!:
  25. That's was causes it. Him and a 12pack by himself
