  1. I have 2 Shimano Talora 10'6" diver rods wit Twilly Tips for sale. Asking $60 each or both for $100
  2. As stated earlier, if you put it in you cooler the rate of survival is zero! I've released many fish over the years, throughout the year. In the Spring fish seem to take off as if they get shot out of a cannon. During the warmer months of summer it takes them a little longer but they seem to swim away fine. I think they take more time due to the lack of oxygen in the warmer water. They just take their time getting back to the cooler water and rest. In the fall the the fish are in "warmer" temps from the beginning of the fight until thy are netted and they take off like they do in the Spring! In Winter the fish are cold water from start till finish and and we have no trouble releasing them. The biggest key is to play the fish quickly and not over exhaust them. Even during cold weather months fish that are overplayed have to be revived for longer. As for the netting question, I have seen plenty of salmon with the marks from past run ins with a net. In fact just this Spring I am seeing the same browns coming to net days after the were already caught. I also see many fish with signs on their mouths being caught previously. Some are just wounded others are missing half their jaws. So IMHO I believe our fish are a lot more resilient than many will give them credit for. I've been amazed by some of the thing I've seen these fish do to spawn, so no net or hook is going to stop them!

  11. I have also fished this boat a bit, runs great, very fast, trolls very smooth, doesn't need sea bags, plenty of fishing room and cabin space. I hate to see her go but I look forward to fishing on the new ride. I've been telling anyone looking for a boat about it so don't take to long to make up your mind she shouldn't be around long!
  12. I have 2 Big Jon Captain Pack downriggers with dual rod holders $250 each 1-Big Jon Captain pack without rod holders $200 Or make me an offer!
  13. I too think there should be a vote on one day or two. If the Friday Big Fish event wants more money have a separate buy in for that, say $50. With 60 teams that would be a $3000 pot.
  14. Things are changing out there right now with the heavy winds. Browns are in 50-100 FOW Down 50-70' The king bite has been good fo the first few hours then dries up. Mos of the Salmon were found to the West this morning. This morning temp was down 60' but was dropping all day. Good Luck!!!

  17. That's BS! I've seen boats chase the leaders, but not attach a tow line. I would talk to him this week, now that you let things cool down. Another question, why did the observer and team member have to talk?
  18. I have and always will stand behind being a HUGE supporter of the closed communication rule. I still question the decision to change rule and ask the powers that be to explain to me why they did. I’m starting to think a certain Oswego Co. employee is probably getting tired of seeing me in public, since every time I see him I bring it up. Like this past week when he was sitting down to breakfast and I brought how well the WHI was run and raved about by all of the contestants! Especially the closed communication rule. I’ve always said these events are our tournaments! With out us “they†wouldn’t have tournament. So, why when 90+% of the field says they want closed communication don’t “they†listen? As for Our team we would love to see closed communication. But as Tom Allen said, we are one of the teams that just love to compete! It doesn’t matter the event, as we all know there are different formats across the lake. 12 fish no cull 2 day, 5 fish cull 2 day, 1 day 6 fish open, 6 fish 1 day closed communication, 1 day 6 fish kings only no comm. Take the WHI for example, I didn’t like the 1 day format with just 6 fish but, we still competed. As for the success of that event was it closed communication or the fact is was a one day 6 fish event(with a huge payout) that led to the incredible turn out? Don’t get me wrong Kevin and crew did an incredible job making that an event, much more than a fishing tournament. Obviously if some teams decide that they can no longer enter an event they don’t like the rules in, good for them. As for me, I just want to compete! I don’t look at it as I don’t like the rule but, I fish it anyway, it is just a different style event. But, I sure did like the old style.
  19. I second what CS said
  20. That fish between the steelhead and laker looks a lot like an Atlantic.
  21. I think the 10lb. minimum is fine. With the shortened time frame and the ad conditions is the main reason you didn't see more fish entered. Plus many walleye "guys" don't enter the LOC.
