  1. Thanks Erabbit
  2. Way to go Capt Jeremy. That is one big azz lake trout. Almost twice the size of the biggest one I ever did. Looks like it's gonna be a big fish year. The 20th place laker on day one is already 14+ pounds. Congrats
  3. So since I signed up for the derby at the Lotsa show back in February and now you are only promising $1000 for May 1st and second ONLY, what are the daily prizes going to be on May 3rd- the end of the derby now? I'm sure many others are interested in knowing also. Thank's- Mike
  4. The docks were going in today. They were half done when I left the point this afternoon.
  5. Good to hear of some big fish already. Can't wait,
  6. It still won't do any good with the gate locked though
  7. Just get a dock and you will be good to go
  8. Good luck in Canada next weekend. Wish I could go. Give those hosers H-E-Double Hockey Sticks.
  9. Glad to hear you got out for at least a little while. It can only get better from there.
  10. Looks like you did pretty good. I had to help get a friends boat in the water or I would have tagged along.
  11. You have a PM
  12. I don't know how true it is but when I asked at Lakeside State Park a couple weeks ago I was told nothing is going to happen with the launch until the state passes the budget. I don't know all the details but it doesn't sound good to me. The budget being passed probably won't happen until July(if at all!!!). Like I said I don't know all the details but this would not help out all the businesses around the Oak at all if the west side ramps aren't opened. The east side ramps and parking lot can only hold so many trucks and trailers.
  13. Good job out there guys. Those early spring lakers do put up a good fight. I'm sure that you will find someone with a Canadian license.
  14. Fishing Report Your Name / Boat Name:Get Hooked ============== TRIP OVERVIEW ============== Date(s): Time on Water:2-5pm Weather/Temp:Sunny Wind Speed/Direction:west Waves: 1 foot or less Surface Temp:mid fortys Location: LAT/LONG (GPS Cords): =============== FISHING RESULTS =============== Total Hits: 5 Total Boated:5 Species Breakdown:Browns, Lakers Hot Lure: Trolling Speed: 2-2.2 Down Speed: Boat Depth: Lure Depth: ==================== Took Skipper19 and some of our family members out for the first fishing trip aboard my new boat. We fished west around Johnsons creek and targeted 8-12 fow where we found some nice colored water from last weeks rain, and the rough water on Saturday. We took 2 browns off the riggers about 5 down and 50 back. Both Fish hit stingers in the glow frog and nbk patterns. We decided to check out the deeper water as we didn't have much time and picked up another brown off the planer board on the way out on one of Marks rainbow yozuri stickbaits. We fished our way back to port in about 70 fow and picked up a couple fat lakers, one which hit the stingray size nbk on the deep rigger, and the other fish on the new chrome/crush glow with green dot spin doc with the new captains cove Atomik Frozen Frog Fly. Both of the lakers went back to be caught another day. All in all it was a nice short trip on the water and it felt good to catch some fish on the new boat. Sorry about the late report as I was waiting to get pics resized but that isn't working out. Good luck out there- Mick ====================
  15. Already got two of them. Can't wait to give them a whirl.
  16. Happy Birthday Tom
  17. The west side still has the gate locked, and no docks.
  18. Happy Birthday Gambler. I caught my biggest salmon so far at 32 yrs of age so from the size of all the fish you have caught before it looks like the best is yet to come. Have a happy b-day and here's one to many more
  19. Beach Party next weekend. Heard they had a live band playing in the afternoon last weekend.
  20. Way to go Musky. Can't wait til I can get out there.
  21. jkarol24 The pike fishing sounds cool, but just a little heads up that the season ended March 15th. In the regs it looks like Largies, and smallies are the only fish that we are allowed to fish , catch and release for out of season. The last thing we want to see is you getting into any trouble for doing what we all love. Both the statewide , and great lakes regs say 1st Saturday in May , which is May 1st this year then we can go and chase em again. I just don't want to see you getting in any trouble. We need more younger anglers like yourself. I am trying to raise my children in the same way. Just trying to help out a little. - Mick
  22. Happy B-Day Jeremy. Have a few and take it easy today. The lake's too rough anyways.

  24. Way to go. Now I'm itching to get out there. Might have to break out the little boat if the winds allow Sunday.
