Old Governor Cuomo put a ten cents a gallon tax on gasoline because there was aa "shortage of gasoline" and people would not buy so much gasoline. Now suddenly we have gasoline coming out of the sky, the ten cent New York State tax is still there and they are adding alcohol to the gasoline so we buy more gasoline. And the sky is falling. How stupid do they think we are?

East Mud lake off of the Hanover Road in Forestville could flow into both the Mississippi River System as well as into the Silver Creek Watershed into Lake Erie, especially during high rainfall, snow melt events. They are right.

East Mud Lake is south of Route 39 off the Hanover Road. A stream that flows North at my Country Club, Tri-County in Forestville may come from it, into the Silver Creek watershed. There is a reservoir to the North that the railroads built for their steam engines a century ago and it might block fish travel.

The carp would have to cross through the outlet gates of the Kinzua Reservoir, and the Conewango watershed does not drain into Lake Erie but to the south. Chautauqua Lake also has a dam on the Chadakoin River at Jamestown. The article seems to be like "the sky is falling". The Maumee river at Toledo, Ohio which at one time was the outlet of Lake Erie is a more likely gate to the Lake.

We have stopped using downriggers on Lake Erie for walleye. Our catch rates are successful using Dipsey Divers, braid line with snap on sinkers, leadcore rigs or inline planers. The game plan is not so much to get the lures to the depths, but get the lures away from the boat. When the water temperatures are under 65 degrees F. the walleyes are suspended in the water column. Warmer waters bring us to using dipseys out to 375 feet out at times. 60 foot of water is only 3 automobile lengths and with the clearer water, the boat spooks the fish away from underneath and behind the boat. You have to get away from the boat and its track. Save some money and get 6 rod holders. And you do not have a downrigger in the way to net your fish.

South Carolina did a study on the Savannah River Project and determined coyotes killed 80% of the fawns there. Now will you wonder why you are seeing less deer.

Unlimited hydroplanes have only two blades, so if you want speed at the top end go that way. If you want trolling speeds, acceleration with a full load, longer engine life, go with the four blade.

It is easy to keep bait for months in the winter. What we need is someone with common sense making up the rules. Ontario, Pennsylvania and Ohio let you use bait from the Great Lakes, only New York forces you to spend $14 plus sales tax to go fishing.

To attach the the flouro to the leadcore, slide out about a foot of the lead from the end of the line. Form a half hitch in the lead core line end, slide the flouro inside the line where the lead was and move the half hitch down over the flouro. Tighten it up and you are good to go with all the flouro you want to add. Keith Kavajecz adds a hundred yards of flouro to his lead core rigs, but he has some goof reel it in for him. Been there.

The ethanol in an open vented fuel tank evaporates faster than gasoline. Your fuel usage goes up because the ethanol is now in the atmosphere doing bad things. It dissolves your plastic like spinner beads, Cannon Downrigger Cases, wiring insulation and whatever else. This is just my experience. Empty your fuel tank or it does it by itself.

Your radio installation instructions usually say to feed the radio with a fuse near the battery with a ten gauge wire direct. You need this heavy wire to keep the capacitors charged up during transmitting. 12 volts is actually pretty weak pushing the amperage needed for a radiio.

Keith Kavajecz almost rolled hid Tundra at 65 MPH, he now keeps it under 60 MPH. And that is too fast for a boat.
