    Bass fishing is the number one fishing activity in the USA. New York State fishing license sales are dependent on the revenues brought in here by tourists who come to enjoy Lake Erie Bass fishing. No stocking costs for bass are needed. The bass biomass is great here and the state record bass was caught on Lake Erie. The forage base of gobies helps keep a good stewardship of the lakes health.

    New York regulation on Lake Erie is artificial bait, one bass over 20 inches and most bass are released anyway. Ontario bass fishermen bought a lot of non resident licenses except now they are outlawed with the virus rules. Ontario has kept their old rules in effect yet.

    My thoughts are Bass Pro/Cabelas outlets have the hugest selection of boats in stock at their stores, mainly powered by Mercury outboards, and this results in higher sales. Buyers have a greater choice in boats there.

    If you dot have the Electronic gizmos, get out on the water early at dawn. When the sun gets high around 8:00 AM concentrate on deeper water where the fish head out to. On a bright sunny blue sky day the salmon go deep, really deep, like 200 foot where your graph does not show them as it is tuned to higher depths. As the sun sets in the evening the fish will rise up and move to shore if the water there attracts bait. Cloudy, overcast days are gold fishing days and a good chop diffuses the sun's rays bringing the fish higher.

    When ever we send out our public servants in harms way, bad stuff happens. Then publicity seeking alleged do gooders are out there seeking punishment while they sit there and enjoy the freedom they are provided with by our public servants. The publicity seeking news media then foment more publicity to enhance the views of the alleged do gooders and more troubles start. Stalin and Hitler would be running this country now if our "in harm's way" persons did not take up arms to protect our nation then.

    With a "declared state of emergency and a curfew announced" it was amazing how this criminal activity ended. Now the police had the power to stop the thieves.

    The USA imports from foreign nations three billion dollars of seafood annually. Fishing for food from the lakes help manage a balance of good stewardship of our resources.

    After the death where three other officers did nothing, the rest of the department disappeared and failed to follow their oath to protect life and property. Seems to me the whole department should be suspended for them to tell their story. The State Police and County Sheriff failed to mutual aid there. Then things really got out of order for the thieves took over nation wide.

    Restaurant service is now questionable. Plan on feeding yourself as stores are open with face masks.

    RV Parks may be open since RV's have private facilities for sanitation. Tent campgrounds are not open now.
