In ten years those brownies will equal 200,000 king salmon. They survive after spawning for years. Every year they will be stronger and larger unlike salmon who pass on after spawning. A careful stocking program will enhance your fishing experience for years. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

Search out these sites- tcsoutdoors, danelajoyoutdoors, sportsmandirect, bondybait, robhooverspringwalleye and jcdropshot. There is enough fishing stories, action and information here to keep you going all day.

Iran was subjected to sanctions on trade thirty years ago. In response their government increased their steel production to replace The loss from us and our allies. Today Iran has the tenth largest steel capacity in the world. Today our steel industry is controlled by foreign ownership that do not pay taxes here. The USA must become independent from foreign industries that are bleeding our economy worse than military actions. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

Your battery fluid level needs to be checked occasionally. It should cover the plates in the battery. Only add distilled water to your battery. Our tap water contains a lot calcium and other bad things that neutralizes the acid in your battery and it will kill the life of your battery. Twenty six years in a water treatment plant led me to state "don't drink the water". Well that was why I had to quit the beer.

With "Pier Head fishing" mentioned, the high lake water levels have closed most piers. And the future looks like this condition will never end.

Fishing shallow near shore water in the spring as that is where your warmer water temperature indicates. Snags partricularly when stopping or turning and the inside of the turn lines slow down cause more snags. That is why floating stick baits or plugs work better. Use side planers mainly since your boat travelling by spooks the fish away and they will concentrate them in the track of your side planers. Your down riggers make good rod holders then and also early in the season when the walleye are suspended near the warmer surface water. -
Crossing the border with the coravirus

At my grandson's doctors office yesterday I was refused entry into the office building and set in the car till they were done at the Doctor's office. The DMV offices are closed and obtaining a passport or enhanced driver's license is now too late. Radar towers on Lake Erie now trace boat tracks across the Lake. I think they are shared with Canadian Authorities. Fishing boats on the lower Niagara are monitored so sophisticated they monitor your in boat conversations. They may they use your cell phone activation to do this.Just crossing the invisible border line can subject you to special investigation. -

A volt meter across the battery terminals will indicate a charging condition. With an internal battery voltage drop of 1,5 volts, a 12 volt battery will read 13.5 volts at a fully charged condition. With a charger on, engine charging or plug in charger your voltage will read plus or minus 14.5 volts. With a charging rate of up to 16 volts, your battery is low and cooking up a high rate. Most dashboard instrument panels have an engine voltage reading around 14+ volts for your engine starting battery system and down riggers operation and radio service and electronic gps fishfinder systems. You 12 volt bilge pump, live well system, running lights, search lights and deck lighting are also loaded off your engine starting battery system.

The latest between the two nations is now you have to have a legitimate business reason to cross the border either way unless you are a citizen. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app -
Best month, dates for Salmon Fishing Trip?
jimski2 replied to garrymny's topic in Open Lake Discussion
The Niagara River is the greatest source for plankton that feed the bait fish forage source. A good start is any where near there and eastward where the current flows. -

Best month, dates for Salmon Fishing Trip?

The Kings stage in August offshore in 120 foot on the bottom. Waiting to spawn there and when cold nights cool off the creek, they will then move up to ascend to spawn. -
In March, charter boats from Oregon Inlet NC. take you out 40 miles to the Gulf Stream where the tuna are migrating to the north for the summer. Groups of six guys chip in together for the trip. They usually return with 1200 pounds of tuna which is packed and frozen at a commercial fish company for your trip home and your years fish supply. Check out fishing from Wanchese, NC. Tuna offshore, 11 hour trip for up to six fishermen, Gulf Stream where the water is steaming and full of tuna in March.

For walleyes 20# leaders are more than adequate. For king salmon with a dipsey, 30# leaders are good to go. Think that the drag from the dipsey alone will break your leader when the kings go on a run.

My 12 volt charger is plugged in 24/7/365 including all winter. 2 batteries, another charger should be hooked up for the 24/36 volt system. they have higher starting rates, regular charging rates and a maintaining pulse rate to finish off the battery without boiling off the distilled water in your batteries.

Consider the breaking strength of your cable especially if you add a contraption like a Fish Hawk for speed and temperature at the ball.
