  2. Well if you count a successful fishery by the number of fishery present on the piers and streams, go back to the snagging days. The anti snag groups ended up with the fishery and the non boating fellows were the losers along with the business people. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  3. Water temperatures are the key for salmon and trout stream returns. Cold nights to cool down the streams have been few this year. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  6. The “alleged sport fishing of Sockeye Salmon” on the Kensington River and Russian River systems is still snagging if that there it is an acceptable practice. A triple X heavy hook highlited with fluorescent feathers and a rubber sinker are bounced in the rapid currents to allow the free line to enter the mouth of migrating sockeye salmon where the heavy hook is impaled in the mouth area. This is also known as “lining” snag. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  9. The State of Ohio is installing windmills in Lake Erie. Canada does not approve in lake windmills but has installed thousands of them near the shoreline. The. Native Americans have not given approval of the use of their lake. They lost their land but not their waters. European nations cluster their installations for economic decisions. This plan was not properly studied. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

Bottom bounce heavy sinkers or dipsey divers off the side of the boat. This should get you started to begin with. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  15. To keep the salmon season going longer , the stocking of Coho salmon is an answer. We caught migrating Coho salmon upstream in creeks and rivers till well past pheasant hunting season. Coho salmon may not be as large as chinooks but they provide more action than what goes on now. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  22. If your desire is smaller fish will, return to stocking Coho salmon. They were great game and stream and breakwater fishing was mores successful for younger fishing that can not afford a charter fishing trip. Sent from my iPhone using Lake sting trip Ontario United mobile app
  23. Fresh water is more precious than salt water. Yes windmills in saltwater are accepted, but we do not drink it. Protect our fresh water so as the California people can not take a daily shower due to its costs. Our Great Lakes water resources are not unlimited. Put the wind mills on land, not in our drinking water. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
