  1. A black box is around that will allow you to set the voltage you need for your rigger cable. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  2. This time of the year with the warmer water, you are best off The Cattaraugus Creek and west of there as the thermocline will be set up there. Sixty five foot of water is a good starting depth. Also the big smelt eating Walleyes will follow the cold water smelt pods on the bottom there. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  3. Metric thread for the plugs? Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  4. Walden and Union road is the population center of WNY. They did their demographics and did not build in Downtown Buffalo and the waterfront where no one lives all the way to Toledo.
  5. One charter boat with Amish fishermen came in with 300 perch off the Catt last weekend. You just have to look and hunt for them.

The Tiger lilies have bloomed along the lakeshore road so the walleyes are ready to be caught now.
  7. If you are using a "T" fitting on your main engine fuel line for your kicker, they suck air from the main engine connector. Use a direct line from the fuel tank.
  8. We need access at a place like Woodlawn Beach. Too congested at SBH. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  9. We really need a new boat ramps system preferably at Woodlawn Beach at the old breakwater next to the windmills. Assemblyman Sean Ryan sponsored a bill to get us more ramps, so the money is there and also money from the Power Authority is available. report to your state representatives on the SBH cluster screw up. When you only have one day to get out fishing and you spend more time at the boat ramps than fishing, you know something is wrong.
  10. Cheektowaga Cabela's tentative opening is now August 7, 2014. Located opposite of the Galleria Mall. Exit 52, expect that the I 90 will be gridlocked there opening day.
  11. Murrels Inlet south of Myrtle Beach has a headboat that travels out to deeper water. Lots of smaller fish, longer trips out produce better. Little River north of Myrtle Beach has head boats going out though I preferred Murrels Inlet better. Calabash NC over the border also has head boats there. Charter Boats are also available in the area. Use the internet to find out more information on these places. Ideally the better fishing is in the Gulf Stream off shore. Fishing Piers such as at the Apache Campgrounds are fun fishing, especially when the king mackerel come ino the shore.
  12. Two old coots came in yesterday with 100 perch caught between 2:30 PM and 4:00 PM. Off the Evangola White Wall, fifty foot of water, their graph showed good fish on the bottom. One rod fishing was all they could handle since the fish were on as soon as the sinker hit the bottom.
  13. Seven walleyes taken around thirty five foot east of Sturgeon Point the past two days. 10:30 AM and it was all over. Worm harnesses, lead core and in line planers with one on a dipsey set at two with a harness.
  14. The regular meeting is moved to this Thursday at their clubhouse, 7:30 PM. Registrations are available there. Food and friendships start there also. Check their website for information.
  15. Consider it may be the boat of the missing fisherman from Wilson early this year.
  16. I was a steelworker that watched his job go to China where sixty per cent of the world's steel is now made.
  17. Our legislators in Washington and Albany have made manufacturing anything in the USA uncompetitive in the world economy. You have to look at the fact that we are now in a world economy and there are no borders to give you an advantage. We are citizens of the world now, not just the USA, and our legislators do not have a clue to make us survive. Free Trade allows anybody that can make something cheaper in the world the ability to avoid the American taxes and EPA, Labor and military costs that we are burdened with.
  18. I removed the fuel level assembly and ran a hose from the bottom of the tank through the transom drain plug and siphoned most of the fuel, dirt and water out into five gallon cans. Then with a wire coat hanger and an old tee shirt I wiped the inside clean while wringing it out by hand into a bucket. Make sure your fire insurance is paid up and take out another $100,000 on your life insurance. If you pull the tank out you should be prepared to replace all the fill and vent lines as they are probably aged and are not pliable anymore. You also may get it done by raising the bow up high and just siphoning or pumping the low part of tank.
  19. Lake Erie has warmed up now and the flow of nutrient rich water from the Niagara River will turn on and concentrate the fish there. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  20. Jets are fine for early season cold water walleyes that are suspended near the surface. They do not sink deeper in turns when you slow down. 65 degree surface water temperature will start the walleyes to go deeper.
  21. They are no more attentive to their jobs than US officials. Have a can of beer in your hand and see if the handcuffs come out. They may have a way of listening to your cell phone when you check in. I know they can ping your phone to check on your location.
  22. Their security is so refined as to just not having video cameras that can zoom in on long ranges but laser microphones that can listen in on your conversations in the boat there.
  23. A friend told me of Canadian "gun boats, machine guns mounted bow and stern, camouflaged," boarding an American Bass Boat in the lower river. The operator was handcuffed and taken aboard the police boat and his boat was taken back by the officials. Be careful out there.
  24. The Southtowns Walleye Club Perch Tournament yesterday had a great turnout and calm waters. Good concentrations of perch were found on rock piles but things were slow if you were not exactly on top of them. I saw one five perch bag weighed in at over seven pounds. A lot of big perch came in for the perch dinner served from the day's catch.
  25. Nutrient rich water from Lake Erie May concentrate more forage here than the east end. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
