  9. Another season in the books! Have a safe trip back and look forward to seeing you guys in the spring!!
  10. Power down to the Nuke plant east of Oswego, pretty good consistent bite down there last few days...
  11. You guys are lighting them up!! Keep it going!! Don't get the LOC leader though!!
  12. Awesome event as always! Well done and congrats to all those who got into the larger fish! We look forward to seeing everyone next year!! We did manage to hook up our vet Tom with this beautiful Atlantic Salmon:
  13. Let's hope the fishing is as good tomorrow as it was today (less the 5-8+ ft waves) so we can get all of our vets on some good king action!! Good luck to all the teams - stay safe, tight lines, and FISH ON!!
  14. Looking forward to tearing it up the next couple days and putting our vet on some good drag-rippin' kings!! Good luck to everyone in the BFF event tomorrow!
  15. Reminds me of our experience last fall when we rigged up an Automatic Fisherman ice rod and landed several coho and a 20 lb king on it!! **Some explicit lyrics** Good times!! Let's see what Barbie can do!!
  16. Hopefully the kings will stick around and the weather will cooperate so we can offer the veterans a great time on the water catching the best fish Lake O has to offer!! Looking forward to the event!!
  17. Well done fellas! Both days we did well over 100-135 fow early, then sliding out deeper 160-230 later (going 5 for 25 on Sat, 12 for 17 Sun). We targeted 80-100 ft both days with spoons and FF both producing. A top 10 finish is awesome!! Good luck the rest of the season!!
  18. Well done Nick - if today were the salmon slam you would have kicked our butt! Although our day started with a blown trailer tire on the way to the ramp, so we missed the first 1.5 hours this morning and then had to quit at 10. It's all good though and glad you got into some good fish today! By the sounds of it, you did better than most in our area of the lake!
  19. We were between Sodus and Hughes today and had 66 degrees down 100, 62 down 115, and 52 down 135 over 130-200 fow. Varied slightly in spots, but overall very deep.
  20. Good luck!! Let's see the new LOC leading steelhead!!
  21. Started the first day of the LOC today out of Sodus in hopes to put a fish on the board and we got the job done! Headed west out of the shoot at 6:00am and set down over 100 fow in front of Maxwell marking a few fish near the bottom. Ran a spread of 3 riggers (85/95/105) with mupped Stinger UV Diehards on the deep rigger, Stinger UV Black Tuxedos on the 95 ft rigger, and various spoons on the high rigger, and 4 wires varied from 220'-330' on the bottom divers (1-setting) and 360-525' on the upper divers (3 setting) pulling Rhys Davis meat rigs with N&D Sporting Goods strips and Spin Docs/Atommik flies. Ended the day at 1pm when that front came ripping through! Finished the day 4 for 10+ (21 & 19 lb kings, 10 lb laker, and a 7 lb steelhead), with quite a few rigger shots with nobody home and another decent king lost from a pulled hook. Both deeper riggers took shots on the UV Diehards and UV Tuxedos, wires with Mullato spin doc/silver meat rig and UV white/green dot spin doc/Hijacker fly also took multiple shots. Worked west almost to Hughes 115-200 fow with the 115-135 fow range being the best, and down speed ranging from 2.8-3.4.
  22. Hi Sarah, our team has always been a fan of the LOC events! However, we have often wondered why the LOC hasn't put much effort into growing the event with sponsorships, like the Great Ontario Salmon Derby currently does? We'd also like to see a higher payment curve into the lower placements - while this would eat into the current profits from the events (which is significant), this would be offset by increased interest generating more entries as well sponsorship support that could be acquired (especially with an event of this size and sustainability given its history). Just some food for thought...
  23. Nice! What were the kings coming on?
