  1. Ok, thanks for the input guys! I guess my team just wasn't over the fish! Heading out tomorrow to see what we can find (and hopefully put in the boat)!!
  2. Hmmm... It's the unit that is on Coup's boat: Lowrance lcx 27c
  3. Ok, thanks! I think our FF still isn't working properly...
  4. Nice job on the kings! Sorry I didn't get back to you this weekend, we were fishing the Oswego Pro-Am and under the "no communication" deal. We did great Friday taking 3rd in the Fat Nancy's Shootout (1/2 a pound from 1st, 3 oz from 2nd) and not so hot for the pro-am as the NE wind wrecked our honey hole (or so we thought - FF issue led us to believe fish were gone, but was a mis-calibration issue).
  5. Good luck to everyone fishing the Fat Nancy's Shootout today and the Oswego Pro-Am this weekend! We'll see you at weigh-in! I think we'll see some real slobs brought in (hopefully by our team ).
  6. Haven't gotten any of the newly packaged bait yet, but will have it within next day or two. Warren's does have a large selection of the sushi flies and did have the bait strips, although I am sure they are gone by now! Good to hear the new packaging is helping to keep the strips firm!
  7. We have used it on several occasions with refreezing in between and it held up very well. After a couple times though you may need to add a bit of salt to toughen them back up if they get mooshy. Most of the time they have been gobbled up and we haven't had any to refreeze!
  8. Nice job!! Glad to hear of more kings in the area! Let's hope they stick around for the summer!!
  9. Tried to get B&E to get them, but owner wanted nothing to do with getting anything new in. He's a charmer! Warren's in Sodus has put a decent order in for both bait and sushi flies, and I think the whole bait and Rhys Davis strip heads too.
  10. Nice job on the browns! That is a wall-hanger for sure!!
  11. These two each weighed in at 14 lbs. The second one fought like a champ with a nice long run and I thought we had an upper teens/lower 20's king on. I think I need some more screaming kings on so I can get a better feel for them again!!
  12. Fishing Report Your Name / Boat Name: Finders Keepers ============== TRIP OVERVIEW ============== Date(s): 6/28 Time on Water: 6am - 2:30pm Weather/Temp: partly cloudy, warm Wind Speed/Direction: south 5-15 Waves: 1' or less Surface Temp: 60's Location: West of Sodus LAT/LONG (GPS Cords): =============== FISHING RESULTS =============== Total Hits: 12+ Total Boated: 9 Species Breakdown: Kings, Browns, Laker, Steelhead Hot Lure: White w/ green dots spin doc w/ ultra green glow fly Trolling Speed: 2.8 - 3.2 Down Speed: Boat Depth: 20 - 180 Lure Depth: 20 - 90 ==================== SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS ==================== Got out today with Woody and put in a much longer day than we expected given the forecast for storms and strong winds. Started in tight and banged on the browns for a bit, then slid out deeper in search for sharks, and we stumbled upon a couple: Could the kings actually be starting show up in numbers?? Hey Ray, check out my new shorts for this season! We ended up working a small 1/2 mile stretch that held tons of bait and fish 30-50 down, with the kings coming 90 down. We ended with a mixed box of kings, browns, a laker and a steelhead. I'll post the full detailed report on our website later tonight or tomorrow: http://www.FKSportfishing.com
  13. Fishing Report Your Name / Boat Name: Finders Keepers ============== TRIP OVERVIEW ============== Date(s): 6/27 Time on Water: 6:30 am - 5pm Weather/Temp: sunny warm Wind Speed/Direction: ne 10 Waves: 0 building to 2' Surface Temp: 65 Location: Sodus LAT/LONG (GPS Cords): =============== FISHING RESULTS =============== Total Hits: 11 Total Boated: 9 Species Breakdown: 4 kings, 4 lakers, 1 steelhead Hot Lure: Sushi flies Trolling Speed: 2.8 - 3.4 Down Speed: Boat Depth: 75 - 130 Lure Depth: 30 - 88 ==================== SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS ==================== Had a double trip today and fished west of Sodus. Screen was fantastic with hooks and bait, but gettinm them to go was the problem. Green sushi flies in the AM took most fish and anything dolphin colored in the PM took fish (spoons and sushi flies). Full report can be found at: http://www.FKSportfishing.com after tonight. Heading out tomorrow to put some more fishy smell in the boat...
  14. Hey Andy - I agree with not putting people in danger's way. However, from over 10 years of storm observation and extensive storm structure research/knowledge, lightning that extends from the parent cell (main updraft) can strike far off to the sides and rear of the storm, but rarely if ever in front of the storm. having said that, storms, and particularly lightning, are no joke and my expertise in severe weather make our situation extremely rare. I advise anyone on the water to seek shelter at the first sign of lightning.
  15. Nice fish! I bet there is at least one goby in that belly!
  16. Yeah, that was probably us - I'm a trained weather spotter/storm chaser and kept us out of the bear's cage, however the gustnado watrerspouts were all around us and very cool! They were weak though and posed no danger. How did you guys make out - I take it you were fishing closer to port?
  17. Yeah, I've seen that one, but I love my Driod... Phone's working fine again after drying overnight.
  18. Ok, here ya go Ray: The last image my phone took before it got sloshed with laker slime water! Top producing rigs: #1: Mt. Dew Echip w/ Lemon Drop Sushi Fly #2: Wonderbread Spin Doc w/ Man O War Sushi Fly #3: Carmel Dolphin Spin Doc w/ Mirage Sushi Fly #4: NBK Spin Doc w/ Destroyah Sushi Fly Even after we ran out of bait these rigs were still putting fish in the boat without the "sushi"!! I'm loving the sushi flies!!
  19. Nice job on the king!! What depth of water were you over when the king hit? Were you marking anything on the FF?
  20. Fishing Report Your Name / Boat Name: Finders Keepers ============== TRIP OVERVIEW ============== Date(s): 6/18/11 Time on Water: 6 - 11am Weather/Temp: nice sunny Wind Speed/Direction: ripple from west Waves: 1' chop Surface Temp: 61 Location: East Bay to Silos LAT/LONG (GPS Cords): =============== FISHING RESULTS =============== Total Hits: 4 Total Boated: 4 Species Breakdown: 2 lakers, 2 steelies Hot Lure: Destroyah Sushi Fly Trolling Speed: 2.4 - 3.2 Down Speed: 2.8 Boat Depth: 100 - 500+ Lure Depth: 70 - 100 ==================== SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS ==================== Got out with my brother and dad shark hunting on Saturday. Started in 60 fow off East Bay and pointed the boat north. Went all the way east of Port Bay. Set back up over 130 fow with a good screen of bait and fish 30-40 ft down and 70-100 ft down, concentrated over 100-out to 530 fow with a blank screen and only one small steely on a purple alwife super slim slider, so decided to pull lines and run back in 120 fow. Pulled two quick lakers, one 4-5 lbs, the other pushing 8lbs both on sushi flies (lemon drop and destroyah), but we were after sharks, so we worked a bit deeper with nothing happening. As we were pulling lines to head in, we boated another steely off the destroyah sushi fly back 225 on the copper. An ok morning, but wish those kings would show up soon!! If not we're gonna have to go after steelies and browns for the Atommik Challenge next weekend... Hoping to get out a few times this week...
  21. Thanks for the info Bazookajoe!!
  22. The big boys will be showing up in numbers soon! Where was the bait in the water column (depth) and over what fow?
