I have a pair of 12 lb chrome skark weights for sale. We've upgraded to 15 lb weights and don't need these anymore. New ones cost about $160 with shipping. These are the real deal and doubled our hit rates after switching from regular black weights. The noses are slightly blunted (as seen in the pic) from bumping bottom, otherwise they are like new. If interested drop me a PM or for quicker response, call me at (585) 330-0494. Thanks! Tim.

Fishing Report Your Name / Boat Name: Finders Keepers ============== TRIP OVERVIEW ============== Date(s): 8/29 Time on Water: 6-12 Weather/Temp: sunny warm Wind Speed/Direction: sw 10-15 Waves: 1' chop to 4' swells Surface Temp: 70 Location: Oswego LAT/LONG (GPS Cords): =============== FISHING RESULTS =============== Total Hits: 4 Total Boated: 3 Species Breakdown: Kings Hot Lure: Green Echip green fly, silver bullet j-plug Trolling Speed: 2.1 - 3.0 Down Speed: 2.5 (I love probes! ) Boat Depth: 60-75 fow Lure Depth: 45-65 ==================== SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS ==================== My dad and I made a decision to pre-fish the FHC on Friday down in front of Oswego, since the fishing had shut down near Sodus/Port Bay area. Set-up over 80 fow and before I could set the 2nd rigger, the first fired with a 12 lb king down 38' on a green/white echip w/ ultra green glow fly. Then we washed lures (and lots of them) for the rest of the day until we called it at 2pm. That didn't look too promising for the FHC, so we were thinking about returning to our favored area in front of Sodus for the challenge on Sat. At the dock we got word that the fish had turned on over 100 fow near the mud line just east of the river, and later I heard of some ok reports from east of the river. Plus later I heard some poor reports from Sodus, so we decided to return to Oswego for the Challenge. On Sat. we set-up just east of Oswego over 80 fow and worked the mud line eastward towards the nuke plant. In front of the nuke plant we pulled along side team Screamer, who soon thereafter pulled lines and cruised towards the Salmon River. We had a decent screen, so we stayed put. We didn't move a rod until we got near the nuke plant and heard on the radio of a few caught on j-plugs, so we through down a plain silver bullet on the 60' rigger. It wasn't down long before it fired and it was GAME ON!! About 15 minutes later we slid the net under huge brut that filled the 4' cooler and it was high-5's all around! Through it on the scale and this huge, snaggle-toothed male only weighed in around 28 lbs: Wish it was a female!! As we set back up, we saw several other boats hooked up in this same area, then our starboard wire got bit. Another 15 minute fight and we boated a 24 lb female. By this time a stampede of boats flocked into the area and it was bumper to bumper traffic, with boats hooking up right and left. We worked east-west through our waypoints and managed two more hits before the traffic shut down the bite. We landed an 8 lb king and lost a decent fish on the 50' rigger. We continued to work an area a mile or so east and west of the nuke plant and continued to see a boat here and there hook up, but not like the previous hour. We didn't move another rod, and when the wind started to pick up on top of the 4-5' swells, we decided to call it a day before it got nasty out there at noon. On the trip back the wind let up, so we could have stayed a bit longer, but we had that 28+ lb'er in the box and wanted to get it weighed in for the PEDD Derby. We weighed the fish in at Screwy Lou's in Fair Haven and it weighed in at 28.5 lbs on the PEDD scale (and 28.75 on the LOC scale). The Land Shark team was there and put one on the scales at 29+, and had a real good 6-fish box for the Challenge. They would go on to win the Challenge just edging the Screamer Team who placed 2nd and won the Challange Cup, and Atommik Team in 3rd. Congrats to Land Shark on the FHC win and the Screamer Team on the Challange Cup win!! We ended up placing 10th, and had we landed that 4th fish, would have moved up at least 4 or 5 places. But that's fishing! It looks like we took the PEDD, which hasn't been won since my brother's 34.15 LOC fish last Sunday. It hasn't posted yet, so we have an inquiry into that, as it was up to $600 yesterday! That will make 3 in a row on the PEDD board for us... Today is a day off for us to rest up for a busy week: we'll be out every day this week looking for that allusive 40 lb'er... Good luck to everyone on the last leg of the Fall LOC!!

Yeah, that's the biggest king we've boated since '99, when we landed a couple 36 lb'ers. So now we're looking for a new record fish for us: 36+ lbs. A 40+ lb'er would be sweet... I'm still trying to figure out how we will get a fish that big in the boat - both my dad and brother have back issues, so it will be up to me to hoist it over the stern. I'm banking on an adrenaline rush from seeing a fish that big in the net!!

Sun 8/22: After a sloooooow first 2 hours, we saw Billy V's Instant Report on temp and adjusted our spread accordingly. After a small laker, the starboard wire starts pounding, like it's trying to test the breaking strength of our rod holder!! My brother's on the rod and fights this thing like a champ, saying "I think it's a decent fish". As it surfaces behind the boat, I can see this thing is a PIG!! It came to the boat nice and easy and I scopped it into the net, thinking upper 20's. My first attempt to bring it over the back of the boat failed and I realized it was a bit bigger than we thought - wrapped the net over my shoulder and heaved the beast into the 4' cooler and it filled it! It had inhaled the fly and nicked one of its gills when I got the hook out. So it was a quick look on our scale: bouncing between 32 and 34 (our scale tends to be about a pound on the light side), then a mad dash to pull lines and head in to Sodus Point. Hit the scales at 34.15 lbs and is currently the new LOC leader!! This fish had a huge girth, although since we were holding it under its belly it looks a lot skinnier. It looks to also have won the day for the PEDD Derby - two days in a row for us!! HUGE props go out to Billy V for sharing the temp info!! THANKS BILL!!! The fish hit a white with green dots spin doc pulling an Atommik ultra glow green fly out 225 on the wire over 150 fow.

Fishing Report Your Name / Boat Name: Finders Keepers & Jimmy Rigger ============== TRIP OVERVIEW ============== Date(s): 8/21 & 8/22 Time on Water: 6-10, 6-2 Weather/Temp: coudy & cool Wind Speed/Direction: se 10-15, se 10 increasing to 20-25 out of NE Waves: 1-2', 1-2' inc to 3-5's Surface Temp: 72 Location: Honey Hole LAT/LONG (GPS Cords): =============== FISHING RESULTS =============== Total Hits: 13, 3 Total Boated: 7, 3 Species Breakdown: few browns, laker, rest kings Hot Lure: white green dots spin doc/ultra glow green fly or superfly Trolling Speed: 2.5-3.6 Down Speed: not yet Boat Depth: 100 - 250 fow Lure Depth: 40 - 120 ==================== SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS ==================== Sat. 8/21: Got an early start with my dad and were setting lines by 6:15am. No sooner had I got all 4 rods set, the port side wire gets hammered and starts screaming out! After 200', line goes slack. Reeled it in about halfway and the port side rigger fires and starts singing! Oh yeah, game on... line goes slack. Crap! 0 for 2. Set the wire, set the rigger, and the port wire goes screaming again! 100' out and line goes slack. WTF!! Double checked the hooks, all sharp. Reset the wire and the port rigger fires again right in front of me, this time I grab the rod and give it a few good yanks to set the hook. Finally, we boat a nice 24 lb king. Before I can get the fish out of the net, the port wire goes followed by the starboard wire - doubled up (with the 24 lb'er still in the net!)!! We end up landing a 12 lb king and 8 lb brown, now only one rod in the water. For the first 2 hours, this was the pace, then it slowed to a steady pick and several more screaming wires shots followed by dropped lines. We ended the day with a sweet 28.25 king that landed us in 9th place in the LOC at noon, but got bumped off by 4pm. However, we did have the largest fish for the PEDD Derby! The screen was great, the fishing was hot, and we ended 7 for 13. Here is the 24 lb king with the 28 on the scale: Sun 8/22: Since the fishing was so hot yesterday, my brother and I headed out at dark o'thirty this am and headed to our previous day's honey hole. We set lines and were ready for the action... waiting... waiting... We had squat on the screen, and didn't move a rod for 2 hours... Hmmm... Then I happened to check the Instant Reports site and Billy V gave some temp info that made us alter our spread right quick... 5 minutes later the port rigger fires and we land a small laker. Just after setting back up, the port wire goes screaming!! GAME ON!! We circle this king twice and it feels HEAVY!! We get it to the back of the boat and realize we have it hooked 5 inches back on the top! with its head acting as a rudder, it took another 15 minutes to get him in the net - nice 25 lb'er. We get set back up and head back through our waypoint and the starboard wire starts pounding, like it's trying to test the breaking strength of our rod holder!! We then headed back out to our waypoints in hopes to find another LOC fish, only to be greeted by increasing NE winds and a non-existant bite. We gave it our best until 2pm without moving a rod, when we decided to call it a day. This fish had a huge girth, although since we were holding it under its belly it looks a lot skinnier. It looks to also have won the day for the PEDD Derby - two days in a row for us!! We then headed back out to our waypoints in hopes to find another LOC fish, only to be greeted by increasing NE winds and a non-existant bite. We gave it our best until 2pm without moving a rod, when we decided to call it a day. HUGE props go out to Billy V for sharing the temp info!! THANKS BILL!!! We'll be looking to get out every day this week weather/waves depending.

Fishing Report Your Name / Boat Name: Finders Keepers ============== TRIP OVERVIEW ============== Date(s): 8/18 & 8/19 Time on Water: 6-11, 6-3 Weather/Temp: Sunny Nice both days Wind Speed/Direction: ne 10, light Waves: rollers, calm Surface Temp: 74 Location: Fair Haven, West to Sodus LAT/LONG (GPS Cords): =============== FISHING RESULTS =============== Total Hits: 4, 17 Total Boated: 2, 13 Species Breakdown: kings, browns, cohos, rainbow Hot Lure: white/green dots spin doc with ultra glow green fly Trolling Speed: 2.7 - 3.7 Down Speed: not yet Boat Depth: 100 - 200 fow Lure Depth: 70-115 ==================== SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS ==================== On Wednesday I headed out with my dad and brother for a kingfest... boated 2 small browns and missed 2 other small hits. Super slow and no kings to be found. That's all we could get to go all morning. Called it quits at 11, as I had to head over to Screwy Lou's to pick up my new Mag 5 rigger! Today, I headed out with my brother, and started off the day shortly after setting up with a sweet 25 lb king: Hey Ray, how about those shorts?? We continued to work a couple previous honey holes and had a blast with several doubles (once with with dual majors) and once, almost a triple (but we didn't hook up on the third hit). Finished the day with 2 browns up to 8 lbs, 2 coho up to 12 lbs, a beautiful 5 lb rainbow, and the rest kings, including 25, 23, and 22 lb'ers. Missed 2 other majors, one lost about 100 ft behind the boat after a 20 minute fight during one of the doubles, when it made a mad dash for the boat and came unbuttoned... The other was this 22 lb King: Here's the 12 lb coho: There was quite the current today: going east we slowed up the motor but were still going 3.4-3.7 sfc speed, going west we sped up the motor but only read 2.4-2.7 gps sfc speed. Had the wires out 360 to 450 on either 2 or 2.5 settings. Riggers were down 70 to 125 ft. Took a majority of our fish on the white with green dots spin doc pulling ultra green glow flies, but also took fish on blue dolphin spin doc pulling UV blue dolphin fly, RRRed metal dodger with white fly (Coho Killer rig), white with green dots echip pulling ultra green glow fly, and the cheerleader rig. Marked a lot of bait and fish tight to the bottom all the way out to 180 fow, with many other fish marked around 70 ft down. Tried to trigger the bottom fish with no luck, so mostly targeted the higher, active fish. There were quite a few other boats out and we saw several of them hooked up. We'll be out on Sat AM to try to find a LOC fish. Good luck to all who get out tomorrow! Let the games begin!! Who's going to put up the first 40 lb'er on the LOC board??

Nice fish! I also think this Fall LOC is going to produce some HUGE Kings!! -
Fishing Report Your Name / Boat Name: Finders Keepers ============== TRIP OVERVIEW ============== Date(s): 8/13/10 Time on Water: 6am-4pm Weather/Temp: sunny, warm Wind Speed/Direction: SE 10-15 becoming light S Waves: 1-2's laying down to a ripple Surface Temp: 75 Location: East and West of Port Bay LAT/LONG (GPS Cords): =============== FISHING RESULTS =============== Total Hits: 17 Total Boated: 16 Species Breakdown: 14 kings, 1 brown, 1 laker Hot Lure: white spin doc with green dots pulling ultra green fly, cheerleader Trolling Speed: 2.8-3.4 Down Speed: not yet... Boat Depth: 100-450 Lure Depth: 70-90 ==================== SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS ==================== Got out today with my dad and brother and hit the water at 6am. We headed east to where I lost the two majors at the end of my trip yesterday and set-up over 90 fow. It was a slow go at first, but after sliding out a bit our wires started to get bit. We did 7 kings (5 skips and two around 10 lbs), but no majors. We couldn't get the riggers fire either. So when that area dried up, we headed deeper and swung all the way out to 450 fow with a blank screen, so we pulled lines and ran into some old waypoints west of Port Bay over 180 fow. Soon after setting back up the rods started to pop, even the riggers!! After a few more skips, the 87 ft rigger pulling a cheerleader started throbbing, then went wizzin' out and got wrapped in the wire. Luckily the fish was very cooperative as we untangled the mess, just swimming along with us about 25 feet behind the boat. After 30 minutes of untangling we finally freed the line and brought the beauty to the net - 26 lb'er. (left the camera in the boat, so I'll post a pic with tomorrow's report). Set back up and headed back through our waypoints and tripled up on two skip kings and a nice 10 lb brown. We continued to bang small kings (and a 6 lb laker at 82 ft??) until we called it quits at 4pm. Fish came on the white spin doc with green dots pulling the ultra green glow fly on the wires and 250 copper with a dipsy (tried something new), and cheerleaders on the riggers set at 86 and 82 feet. FF was good in spots, but not as good as yesterday. We'll be out tomorrow AM for another go at 'em...

Hey Steve, We'll do our best to keep on 'em and let everyone know where where we're doing them (at least until the week before the Fair Haven Challenge )! Ray - LMAO!! It does seem that we put more fish in the boat when I wear those shorts, so there could be some truth to what you're saying... Jeff - Good luck this morning! I hope you and Dale get into a few matures! I'm sure Dale and I will be talking in the morning to see what's going on...
